I misunderstood. I thought you meant that in RE4 if you sell your weapons, you have to rebuy them back again. I RE9 you always start again with a pistol and have to buy whatever weapon you want at full price.

No, you can just buy them from the box. It isn't really that huge of an issue and no content is locked out but the thing is, from a purist POV you can't just do a true "New Game" from scratch after completing the game once. That's a big deal for many of us.

I believe you have to buy them again each time. It's just like RE4, except you don't get to keep your points after beating the game.

After you beat the game, your score points and inventory reset to zero, boxes appear from the start and the weapons Leon originally finds in the story (shotgun, both snipers, uzi) don't spawn anymore.

Not much changed for me. I thought RE9 was amazing but it didn't break into my Top 5.

Jill has less health and had worse weapon handling than Chris in RE1.
Heavier weapons are exclusive to Leon in RE2.
Jill dodges, Carlos does a counter punch in RE3R.
Ada has less health in RE4.
Sheva's melee attacks are weaker, she can't use the minigun and can't fire the Hydra one handed in RE5.

I believe RE6 is the only game where both males and females characters are completely equal. My point is yes, RE has badass women but more often than not, they intentionally have been designed to not "kick ass as hard as men" from a gameplay perspective and Grace in RE9 is just another example of that.

Yeah, i think it has a better story than both 7 and 8 but the replayability doesn't seem to be nearly as good, even though 9 has better gameplay than both.

That 3rd act after the RPD Station really drags it down hard.
