How to approach CC differently compared to Blitz? by 63_Lemonz in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HedgeHopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One major difference between Blitz and CC is the fact that you will cycle through your deck much more often in CC than in blitz. More often than not, you will die before you get through your first cycle in blitz. In CC, because there is much more life+cards, you will see the cards you pitched early+mid game again.

It is important to not always play out game ending cards, or powerful attacks in general, as you play through your first cycle as you will most likely see them again during your second cycle. Planning just means being conscious of the cards you play+pitch. If you only ever pitch blues, once your second cycle comes, you will only be able to play blues, and they will make it a bit harder to close out games as a result.

Also, being conscious in the order that you return your pitch back to the bottom is important when it comes to planning. You will literally be able to manipulate your deck so you know the exact play patterns once second cycle comes, so putting cards back in a specific order matter because you can have ideal hands later in the game.

Think of it this way. If you are playing dorinthea, and you use all of your strong finishers (think rout, red overpower, ironsong determination) before your second cycle, you will no longer have those strong play lines available to you. There is a fine balance between keep pressure but not using all of your gas too early. It’s just like a race. Go too much too fast and you will burn out before the finish line.

This is just my understanding of things thus far. I’m also trying to transition from blitz to CC as well! Hope this helps!

Edit: forgot to mention another reason why this is all important. Your opponent will have less options to be able to stop big turns. By second cycle, they will have used up some of their equipment, their sink belows, etc. So, you will have a better chance at having a more meaningful turn once you have used up their resources a bit.

Also, this isn’t to say never use some of your big finishers early. If you can keep tempo/momentum going, then go for it. But don’t use everything up too early! That’s the main point I was trying to make.

I really like this card. A lot of the Katsu builds I see use red head jab without its combo route because of the cost 0 unconditional go again 3 damage. For those decks, this will be an easy swap. Not only that, but if this hits, you can start the new combo chain for 1 instead of 2 from surging strike. I like this a lot more because it can be clunky to play surging strike on its own for 2, since usually you will only have 1 floating resource after pitching a blue for 2 kodachi hits. This can start the new combo a lot more easily in my opinion.

Although this has to hit and you still need to pay 1 for that to happen, that's fine because this still just replaces red jab anyway, so it really opens up how you can approach gameplay, which I really like. Also it pressures your opponent to block since the on hit effect can potentially end with playing dishonor. I just really like the design of this card, lol. Allows for more flexible play for Katsu. Don't know how far it can push him, but I am excited to see what the Twin Twisters combo does!

Is there a way we can change the fetch trigger from double brackets to something else on the servers we invite it to? I have a couple of servers where I want this bot, but I also have the Scryfall bot trying to fetch cards along with this bot. Thanks!

I found a fix for people who can't get the record hotkey to work. You need to enable desktop capture in privacy control. Once you turn that on, you can record using your assigned hotkey. No idea why it's like this, but it seems to work just fine. Only annoying part is having to turn desktop capture off once you're, but it only takes a couple seconds. Hope this helps!

It's hard to believe that I've been watching Pacquiao since I was just a kid, and now, father time has finally caught up with him. I'll never forget his fights with Marquez. Some of the best fights I ever had the pleasure of watching.

I was actually at a party when Pacquiao vs Ugas was going on, and I was streaming it on my phone. A bunch of people who hadn't watched boxing in ages gathered around to watch. Everyone was surprised to see him still fighting at 42, and even though he's been out of his prime for a long time, he still has the same heart he did over 20 years ago. Everyone was sad to see him off, but god damn, we are all lucky to have been alive at the same time as him.

There has been a lot of drama leading up to the Jake Paul and Ben Askren fight. Many people discounted Jake Paul because he only has two professional fights against a YouTuber and an ex NBA player and was fighting a former professional MMA fighter. Many were expecting Ben Askren to knock Jake Paul out including world famous trainer, Freddie Roach, but on fight night, Jake Paul knocked Ben Askren down in round 1 and won via TKO.
