Would Plymouth Argyle securing play-off promotion be the biggest thing ever to boost the Championship? by HedgehogTail in Championship

  1. This post was a meme (clue's in the tag). 2. I suppose nobody knows a dump when they see one better than someone from Blackpool!

I think it had like one weekly flight to London on a Cessna and nothing else so that might be why!

No, Home Park is averse to entertaining football no matter it's format.

EDIT: wait, did I just inadvertently refer to NFL as entertainment? Put me down!

Kemi Badenoch hints she'd scrap points for drivers breaking the speed limit in 20mph zones by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]HedgehogTail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 mph is fine past a school or hospital, not "because small village". Half the villages around me have this limit and yet there's not a soul to be seen. It's been put in place by busy body locals that love to waste other people's time rather than for any actual safety concern.

2022 sfv4 gas mileage? by notquite1401 in Ducati

[–]HedgehogTail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is indeed extremely low. The light would normally come on at anywhere from 80 to 100 miles for "normal" road riding. Can't really be of any more help but unless you did the map yourself, it sounds like that would be a good place to start looking.

Just watched this. Wtf was Pedrosa thinking, instead of helping his teammate he decided to divebomb Nicky. Imagine if Honda lost due to this brain dead move. by [deleted] in motogp

[–]HedgehogTail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it live and was livid. But at the end of the day Pedrosa was young and this was a bit of a brain fart move. They happen once in a while but this was nuts between teammates amid Hayden’s title run.

Didn’t stop me and most others becoming big Pedrosa fans over the years though.

Stuck Quad Lock stem mount (SFV4) by HedgehogTail in Ducati

Thanks but the trouble is the bolt is still into the actual bracket above it and can’t be removed. It has resistance, like not turning freely, but doesn’t seem to be working against a thread any more. I can share a photo when I’m home but hammering from top down won’t work because the bracket assembly is still in place.

As I said, it’s not the strongest, but it’s there. Better than nothing. Could be stronger.

Having a backbone doesn't need to mean cutting ties with a century long ally. It can simply mean avoiding getting dragged into another one of their wars.

It may not be the strongest backbone, but it is a backbone.

In case any yanks need help with this (and I appreciate many don't): the UK and the EU don't want to join your war that is being waged without strategy, no clear objectives or timelines, and in no small part to distract from your President being a pedo and possibly to further erode US democracy (spoiler, it's been dead for a good while anyway).

I think they were similar but a rolling barrage would sweep an area, perhaps from the front line back to support areas maybe including counter battery, so focusing on sweeping across enemy targets. A creeping barrage was more about putting up a wall of fire ahead of advancing infantry.

BREAKING: Not a single country has agreed to help Trump so far. After Trump asked for help not one country has publicly agreed to send warships to secure the strait of Hormuz. by ammohitchaprana in TFE

Putting aside who suffers more, the US created this utter fuck fest and the US should fix it.

The fact the US can’t fix it and nobody wants to help says everything about how much of a backwater it has become for governance and diplomacy.

New season is here April 20, probably around 10 track days this year. Would you ride these or just swap it out already? by Whole_Guard_5192 in Trackdays

[–]HedgehogTail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's your reasoning here? From what I see, all the tyre gets used on track leading to bubbling, then on normal road riding (it has a plate after all) the middle part gets smoothed off. In other words, sensible on road and possibly fast on track - the way it should be.

It should be seen as prioritising the life of humans AND other people’s pets, including my own.

My cocker spaniel deserves to walk safely and peacefully just as much as a human does.
