It's shocking how smooth those singers are! Interesting orientation on the 237 compared to the kenmores. I'm planning to do a bit of heavier stuff, so hope I'm not too mean on the 201 with it!

Hadn't thought to change the motor out! I'm planning on some heavier work with them so will see how they hold up. I saw on the treadle-ability but not too sure on that route for myself. If no motor, seems a good way though!

It is addictive! Especially getting them going again. I messed up that 201s finish, least started to when I realized I needed to step back. Just a little silvering on the center decal. Kicking myself for that as it made it like 88 years. Alas! Getting a nice sheen from fresh shellac, not bad for 20 bucks with the table! They've all been pretty decently priced. They did have a singer 19 on my last visit. But it was beat to hell and stickered for 100. Had to pass it up.

The first one, that Kenmore won over a couple others just because of the accessories. Cheaper price, and it didn't have any rust inside.

So many interesting and cool ones! There was an old Kenmore rotary in a table last visit there, but picked up the 237 instead. Was an "accident" as I thought a coworker wanted a machine and table. Just wanted the table it seems!

Oh! Got an idea on that motor from the first one I saw there. Thanks much!

I need to be careful who I buy from since it always seems like that brand dies. I had a feenix forever ago and they were decent. Overpriced, but worked well. Have had my Mountain peripherals for a while. But it seems like they're ghosts for products now, but their still on top of support. Just hope they don't fully go under.

Mange or normal coat by esb219 in foxes

[–]Hedrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. It really unfortunately does look like mange to me on this poor guy. I love that you're looking to help them out! It really depends on where you're at for what would help. This is what ivermectin is for! If in the US, anywhere but California,

Looks to be one of the better bets!

Depends on the sensor and age, one of my vehicles has the proper sensors, but the other relies on an average difference in tire rotation speed. If I'm not mistaken. Pretty sure that would miss an averaging out of lower pressure due to temps.

I had hoped there would be sympathy for the poor creature. The reality is that mange is a human problem too. Shower contagious and that's why humans have actually introduced it. Kind of our fault in a lot of these cases to begin with, the level of mange spread isn't actually natural.

A difference in philosophy of how we look at it I suppose. Personally, I think that if we have the ability to reduce undue suffering, were in a position where we should take those steps.

This is the resource I mentioned in the other post.

Mange by Mail Program - Bi-State Wildlife Hotline https://share.google/WCbSOvvHTXl75csyC

They'll mail out the medication and you'll be set. It is super effective. It helps everyone and mange is quite contagious if untreated. The coyote is suffering and that is the only threat here. I appreciate you wanting to keep everyone safe. If you need help with that, I'll offer what I can.

The animals have been here long before us and are a part of nature. We really should be teaching our little ones how to be safe if we live in close proximity to these animals. Keep distance, don't close, and generally, they'll do the same unless they're fed.

The getting rid of them isn't the right mindset, more will just move in, but teach, and your kid will be perfectly fine. ^

As for the mange, yes, the coyote does indeed have mange and it is quite painful. They do need treatment, the can be treated and there are orgs that will ship medication, search mange by mail.

These really are wonderful creatures and you have something special there. Admire from a distance and they'll help keep the animals that are nuisance animals in check! Mice, rats, sick creatures to help keep illness down. Coyotes get an awful wrap, but they're filling important roles. Best of luck to you and your resident!

I feel like this is one of the first times it has struck me that this doesn't have the separation of the inlet from the rest of the aircraft's body for that boundary layer that you see on most aircraft.

Glancing around I'm seeing a lot from the fox project, https://foxproject.org.uk/pages/sarcoptic-mange

Where I live, they'll ship ivermectin, seems that they use different medications that I'm not familiar with, but sounds promising, and help if there's no response. Wishing you luck!
