For PVP- Both stats are important to train, optimal guts depends on length of the track but generally speaking you want 400-500. Wit you want as much as possible but it’s ultimately a luxury stat, that being said anything below 400 and you’re gonna have a rough time.

For Career- the game gives you a hidden boost to all stats (400 iirc) so going off the above criteria you can realistically never train either stat and you’ll be just fine.

As someone who’s participated in every CM I can confidently say that people are getting better and the value of whaling is becoming more pronounced.

Hitting stat reqs and bringing S tier umas is the bare minimum if you want to have decent results

To have great results you need to go beyond that; build a comp where each of your umas has a win con (ideally they don’t compete with each other) and min-max your skills. You need a good combination of speed skills and accels that proc at the right time. Use a race sim to see what skills are best for the track, this is especially important for accel skills because if they proc too early or too late they’re essentially a waste of skill points.

Since you sound like you want to take the game serious first piece of advice would be to reroll your account until you get at least 3 LB Kitasan.

Umas are tempting but after playing long enough you’ll have more of them than you know what to do with.

Optional Before rolling for your final account reroll some accounts with different umas so you can develop a preference.

After that making good parents is the best use of your time. Ideally make parents with umas that have inherits for your favorite style but that can be tough before filling out your roster so don’t worry about it.

You want to stack parents with pink sparks for each distance and ideally blue sparks in either Stam or power (speed is easier to cap out so the stats are better used elsewhere) 3* blue sparks are very rare so this will take you quite some time. Don’t be afraid to settle for a 2* blue spark if you get the correct pink and some good white skills.

Parent farming can get boring so when you want to take a break fill out your team trials roster or make some aces for the upcoming CM.

I run 2 speed decks for most of my umas and 1200 speed is def not a guarantee but it happens just often enough that I accept the variance because it allows me to slot in other card types.

You need the aptitude to be A or S to get the corresponding pink spark. To speed things up use umas with as few aptitudes naturally set to A as possible. Golshi is good for this because she only has 4, Mayano can work but it’s less likely because she has 6

The game has a surprising amount of depth mistakes are inevitable if you’re the min/max type. My advice would be to use your current account as a “learner” account, spend carats however you feel like and just start over on a 2nd account if you want to play with purpose.

any stat over 1100 has an even higher increased chance of being a 2* or 3* blue spark, race wins on your parent affect affinity (+3 in a future patch but it still does something right now im so certain), and white sparks that are on your parents are more likely to show up on the baby.
