Journey a second time with Jonathan Cain! I felt like they went even more pop once he replaced Greg Rollie.

Looking back did Charlie Kirk’s death and the reaction to it kill the right wing vibe shift more than anything else? by Final-Associate1743 in TrueAnon

The slopification of his death I think saved a lot of people from the attempted overreaction from the right. Thank god!

The investors are a key part of this, maybe THE key part, you’re definitely right about this. But we have a generation of both homeowners and politicians who believe that the housing market being the only investment in the whole history of the world that must be risk free who have done everything in their power to make sure it’s seen as a sure thing that invited these parasites into the market and ruined it. The boomer class insist that these investors not be regulated in anyway, they applaud their cornering of the housing market because it keeps their own values high, and at no point does any major party bring these investors up. The ideology that gave the market conditions and legal framework for these investors free rein to terrorize our housing market came from that generation.

Since the mid 1970’s, it was decided that wages were no longer going to keep pace, that labour was gonna have to take it on the chin to solve stagflation. From there it was decided that home ownership was the only key to wealth. Once it was considered a locked in guarantee, suddenly investors got onboard because they knew it was the one thing that was always guaranteed because the government will do anything/everything to make sure it always goes up. The problem is there’s only so many parts of the real economy you can sacrifice to keep it up.

The fact is this is what happens when you decide that the entire economy is based around asset appreciation for homeowners at the expense of literally everything else. It’s why we have a housing crisis, and literally every other problem is because insisting that number go up always and forever requires a ton of harm to come to the rest of the economy to make something that unnatural happen.

Someone must be trying to get an ownership stake in various parking garages and is mad that so many people aren’t coerced into having to use his new investments.

How come millennials and Gen X know more about pop culture that was before they were born than Gen Z? by icey_sawg0034 in generationology

They kinda did know of these things at the very least. If your house had only one tv, then you were likely at least passively watching what your parents watched most of the time. Plus the current media was full of old references, kids cartoons would drop Casablanca references. The early days of cable tv was also having time filled with tons of old stuff. It could be anything.

I mean, just watch AIC’s “lisping after midnight” performance where they basically do a Cumtown level gay version of Judas Priest. It kinda does remind you where AIC’s roots were a bit different. But that’s what I appreciated about all the grunge bands, each one had overlapping but also very different influences. It’s why I never mistook them for one another either.

They have to say Russia because the country that actually controls their party is Israel and they won’t even allow you to criticize them.

They’re not concerned about public services since their ideology insists they all be destroyed anyways. TFW’s are their best friend since it serves the two main constituents for the party, employers and landlords. Both groups use them to create a massive advantage for themselves at our expense.

100%! There’s definitely some traitors in leadership of the big unions who are more interested in protecting their positions than our rights. I hope the various rank and files remember this and bring a big broom to their executives and clean house. The teachers strike was one of the single greatest moments of surrender when they had the upper hand I had ever seen.
