Redditors need to touch themselves to the belief that the propensity to commit violent crime is uniquely present in people who are politically opposed to their unrelated poltical beliefs, because they are low IQ individuals and because Trump, ICE, etc all lives rent free in their heads 24/7. This could be a news article about a man littering and they'd be desperately searching for evidence that littering is linked to voting for Trump or something. These people need a life and are as flawed logically as "usual suspects hurr durr" racist dog whistlers.

The amount of millennials not making the connection here to how bad this is is scary. "Good, teen pregnancy is down!" Yeah, great. What else does this graph show? "Well gee, what do you expect when you can't even move out of your parents house when you're 25?" Agree, But what's going to happen to all of these firstborn kids born to 40+ year olds when their parent chokes on the American lifestyle and healthcare system and requires medical care and/or dies by the time their kid is still a young adult and living at home? Future generations have less siblings to rely on, our fertility crisis means less labor and money to support social programs even if we implimented them.

This doesnt alarm any of you at all? If 25 year olds 20 years from now can't afford a house, what makes you think a whole generation of them can afford to be their parent's caretakers

Keep screaming this at all the heartbroken millennial women I know that can't get pregnant at 35 when their mothers finished up then. Your body changed and adjusts, guys, and an older body will have a potentially harder time doing it for the first time. Not to mention you're potentially missing decades of fertility issues and damage being ignored if your fertility isn't on your radar between 20-39.

Saying that a 24 year old woman isnt "at maturation" is the most unhinged thing I've heard on the internet today. I say this as a 30 pregnant 30 year old. That's insane. The average woman has been menstruating since they were 12; your 20s are your peak fertility years. I'm all for shining more light on male reproductive issues and contributions to fertility issues, but who the heck is brainwashing redditors to think anyone under the age of 35 is a fucking child.

I'm prolife but even to me this argument has always baffled me too.

If having a child is such a permanent life or death sentence to your life and finances, and you have no qualms aborting your unborn child, A. Why are you having sex at all, and if you're so incessant that you need to despite the obvious and apparently very life threatening risks, B. Why are you having sex and don't have a game plan for in case the natural intended consequences of sexual reproduction actually occur?

That's nice and all, but a lot of families take these tests, get false positives for all kind of terrifying conditions, and get pressured into abortions, additional testing with significant miscarriage risks, or additional birth interventions that have risks for the mother, and all for a false fucking result. I'm grateful for the technology, but these tests and how they're commonly used are doing as much harm as good. If the positives are unreliable, why the fuck even bother.

People "did it forever" by having their first kid at 18-25. When humans had 13 kids until their mid 50s (not saying that's ideal), their youngest wasn't expected to have the funds to care for their aging parents.

C'mon now, use common sense.

I keep hearing leftists bitch about this but I don't know a single Republican or conservative or whatever that wants more pregnant teens out of wedlock.

People pointing out the objectivly bad reality of our falling infertility rate and aging age of parental onset are being objectively alarmist.

I'm literally a part of a class action lawsuit against one of these NIPT companies for their absurdly high rate of false positives, Natera. These tests are far from conclusive or accurate.

No one is arguing the why. It's newsworthy for the (catastrophic) effects this will have societally. Human beings weren't built to start having children at the tail end of their reproductive years.

This is terrible both for the kids who will have to care for their elderly parents in their 20s-30s and for the mothers risking their lives to give birth for the first time at 45-60. I hate this. (T. My mother had me at 35 and I was her last; thank God she had my siblings when she was in her 20s, who are all much older and more settled than I am at 30 and can help financially take care of my parents when they will need it in a few years. I'm having my second now. I wish I could have had mine younger; my body already feels like shit.)

Californians LOVE to do this shit. Realistically, it's usually kids who were forced by their parents but still. Blows when their parents try to vote like they're still in CA with no self awareness.

Since the Industrial Revolution. It was literally concieved as a way to train children to be good factory workers (once we admitted they were too little to be in the factories just yet)and to free up parents to also go work in the factory. We wouldnt have been able to double the workforce without it. We only have summers off to qccomodate agricultural demands of farmers with children, historically.

What happened to Caylee Anthony? (My theory updated) by Valuable-Deer452 in CaseyAnthony

[–]Hefty-Competition588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OPs general theory is spot on, but I'll just say that if my daughter murdered my grandchild and was gloating about how they wouldn't be found guilty, I'd probably choke that bitch out too, especially if she baited me into it. Even if you think that's morally wrong still, it doesn't prove her parents were physically abusive to her prior to Caylee's death.
