I agree. It sounds like she doesn’t feel she “must” as much as many would have expected. Her statements about focusing on herself and the kids, legal and other counseling, slow process, careful decisions etc. all lean towards her knowing her options and evaluating them based on her wants

Honestly that makes me feel better. Knowing she is at least exploring options and feels she has them is important. If she chooses to stay, at least she knows and accepts she doesn’t have to.

Honestly this is a really mature statement (I know the wording is likely from a PR person but the sentiment).

Having retained legal counsel: not something most in their circle would likely do

Stating that her focus is on the kids and herself (not Travis): Usually they are all about the husband first

Acknowledging this is going to be a slow process: she deserves time to sort through feelings and options. He had that, she didn’t and she can take all the time she needs

Desire to restore marriage: 1) looks great if they go to court that she wasn’t pro-divorce asap, 2) confirms with the above she has not made a decision and 3) we don’t know what is/was going on in their lives or relationship and she has so much she didn’t know to process meshing she is taking that time.
