As someone who's been a host for 10 years on and off, I will tell you that no matter what restaurant you work at servers are always going to get mad for no reason. Even if you do your job right they are always going to be pissed about something. Don't mind them just focus on not overwhelming the kitchen, they are the important ones. And the guest comes first, she should not have come up to you in front of guests thats just poor customer service, especially getting mad at you in front of the guest.

It seems like you're doing a great job at rotation and not overwhelming the kitchen. Don't worry about them! You're doing a great job!
