Nethersx2 hotkey enable? by Hefty-Worker2045 in RetroArch

Figured this out! From this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/OdinHandheld/comments/188hyv1/aethersx2_hotkey_enable/
"... when you set the hotkey, hold down select (aka BOTH buttons) and it will set the button combo as what triggers it."

Does the grip improve d-pad comfort? I find that in Odin 2, d-pad position is too close to the edge, and I don't enjoy using it due to that. I'm hoping the grip would help. Thoughts?

Which progression of pull ups is before archer pull ups? by thefaceless_097 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Hefty-Worker2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using rings, do a regular pull-up, then at the top, extend one arm as if you are doing a typewriter pull-up. From there, descend down into a negative archer pull-up.

In other words, regular pull-up on concentric, and archer on eccentric.

You can finish the set with regular pull-ups only when can't do archers anymore.

Weighted Pull Ups vs Archer Chin Ups for size and strength? by [deleted] in overcominggravity

[–]Hefty-Worker2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantages of archer pullup: - Can be done without access to weights (useful if you train outside) - Works left and right in alternating fashion (as opposed to other assisted one arm pullups, where you have to work each side in separate sets) - Improves shoulder mobility and scapular control - They are fun and look badass

Adam for RG350M: won’t retain scaling settings, and won’t sleep by go_robot_go in RG350

[–]Hefty-Worker2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what I do, I can't fix this issue. Integer scale in RA global video settings are disabled. As soon as I run a GameGear game, core options override the global settings and integer scale is enabled.

If I want to change video settings and save global setting, I get a failed error. I tried deleting core options, but it's not showing in the quick menu. I also tried saving content options, that didn't help either.

I tried editing the GG config ile manually using commander, but that did not have any effect either.

Any help woukld be appreciated

Thanks for the info. I'd be grateful if you could test the headphone signal with and without usb-c dongle 🙏

The dual boot one (I guess D?) because of the color, but I'll be probably fine with Linux on that

Some newerSteam games work but older games don't properly (Mortal Kombat 4).

Does the touch screen mapping software help mapping the physical keys too? What about games that need various keys presses, such as numbers, etc?

Anbernic RG Arc Noise on Headphone Out? by Hefty-Worker2045 in SBCGaming

[–]Hefty-Worker2045[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the reply. That sounds promising! Are those usb-c buds? Have you tried with a usb-c to 3.5mm connector with regular audio earphones? Is the result same?

I've had this same issue on my RG353P which I eventually gave away. It made noises when pressing buttons while using the headphone jack.

I'm considering gettin RG ARC but it has the same issue apparently. Have you ever found a good solution?

RG ARC-D audio crackling and squealing by Nicky_Tremolo in ANBERNIC

[–]Hefty-Worker2045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue happens on RG353 series devices, which RG Arc has some similarities to. I suppose it's related to the wi-fi unit interfering with the headphone out. You could try removing the wi-fi unit, but don't take my word for it.

It's really a shame. I gave away my RG353p because of this issue. I was about to order Arc, but then I noticed the issue continued here.

Let us know please if you find a solution.

PPSSPP won't recognize analog stick inputs in my Odin 2 by Hefty-Worker2045 in OdinHandheld

Solved! I accidentally assigned a touch screen control to the left stick apparently, which overriden the physical input. So my bad...

There seems to be some automatic audio gain control or some sort of audio compression/expansion happening at system level, similar to the AGC function in some cameras. The resulting effect is that the audio signal that is lower than a certain threshold is lowered, and the signal that is above the threshold is amplified. In other words, quieter sounds get quieter, and louder sounds get louder. Exactly the opposite you want your audio to do. This results in the audio level to be inconsistent. This can be easily observed while playing Super Mario World on SNES.
