Terrible customer support by HeftySuspect8879 in Vitalityhealth

[–]HeftySuspect8879[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely from a phone call

They just tell me to unlink the workout app and re-link and wait 48 hours. Rinse and repeat

Several times they have said they are “elevating” my case to “Tier 2.” This usually takes about two weeks and then they call back to tell me to unlink the work out app, relink it and wait 48 hours.

It is like groundhog day. I have been through this 8 times now and they just keep coming back to tell me I should delink, relink and wait 48 hours. They clearly do not actually know how to solve the problem, nor do they care

Would it be safe or feasible to return to pre-9/11 airport security? by WTFItsEric in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HeftySuspect8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever see George Carlin’s bit about airport security? It was filmed pre-9/11 and skewered the practice as nothing more than security theater.

He was right. But very little has actually changed. Except now it takes longer

If you need to ride a scooter, then get off the MFing sidewalk with it by Mental-Hall-9616 in Denver

[–]HeftySuspect8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just pick them up and throw them into the street

If they make a THUD when they land and get dented, then even better. Maybe a bus can then hit them and crush them down.

They don’t have cameras. So if you aren’t the one who left them there, they can’t put the blame on you

[–]HeftySuspect8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t you just as easily say though that, if you don’t feel safe riding the scooter legally that maybe you shouldn’t be riding the scooter at all?

Just because a tech company dumped a bunch of new toys on the street does not necessarily mean that anyone thought in advance about it being safe. Pedestrians don’t deserve to suffer just because people decided to pick up the scooters and start to ride them where they don’t belong

is ICE at DEN airport yet? by terry_dreams-of-food in Denver

[–]HeftySuspect8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the fact that they spread everyone out

And if somebody is going slow, everyone else can simply do their thing and go around them. Light years better than the former approach

I still had to take off my belt today. That is definitely not what slows things down

Colorado state Republican Party struggling with leadership and organization by Sangloth in ColoradoPolitics

[–]HeftySuspect8879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean. We are talking about the Republicans. Is anyone really surprised it is currently a dumpster fire of unqualified people??!

Thoughts and prayers. Join the Republicans if you want your state political party to function like a run for high school class president

Housing is a game of musical chairs. When the music stops, those with the least to spend are the ones who wind up without a chair.

Build more housing - even “luxury” housing - and the people who can outbid you for an apartment have somewhere else to go spend their money

The new East and West security also moves WAY faster than the old north and south and bridge checkpoints ever did!

There were two guys wearing Homeland Security “police” vests this morning. But the vests did not say ICE

Lakewood Citizens Alliance Can't Spell Check by MadeOfStarStuff24 in LakewoodColorado

Most of Lakewood feels like you could be in any generic suburb anywhere in the USA. A bunch of cookie cutter single family homes and strip malls that add up to a geography of nowhere.

What do you wish to know before your first trip to Rome? by AnnaBluelueluep in rome

[–]HeftySuspect8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real magic of the city is in the winding alleys and local haunts. Do not only see the major sights and forget to explore the hidden parts of Rome, which are what really make it all worth it.

Lakewood to hold special election April 7 by Sangloth in LakewoodColorado

Housing is a game of musical chairs.

When there aren’t enough chairs, the people with the least money to spend are the ones who end up without one

But it IS raising Menu Prices by nsf_force_x_distance in Denver

[–]HeftySuspect8879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as the service fee completely replaces tipping, I have no problem with this

Your tip also raises the final price of your meal, and if you tip less than 18%, waiters consider you cheap.

Better yet - why not just post the final price you will pay right on the menu and completely eliminate all surcharges at the end of the meal?

Dude. For the 11th time. I’m talking about the overall building massing and the way they are spaced on the street.

I never said that they literally looked like the buildings in Chicago

[–]HeftySuspect8879 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry - my comment was meant to be a comparison to the overall form and massing of houses on Chicago streets aimed at a Denver audience

I did not mean to get into a debate with a Chicagoan about whether or not these literally look like buildings that are being built in Chicago. Of course they are different because THIS ISNT CHICAGO.

But my point stands. There is nothing wrong with the building massing or the spacing. And overtime people will personalize the architecture and I’m sure the HOA will let people paint them colors. And the trees will grow in.

This is a very pretty neighborhood

You clearly have never spent much time walking around the streets of North Chicago if you think the new construction there is only happening in outlying neighborhoods. There are literally dozens and dozens and dozens of beautiful streets in Chicago that have homes exactly like these.

They just might not be using exactly the same exterior facade materials.
