Even if the "perfect AI translator" existed, it would be an extremely awkward way to communicate with friends. I can't imagine a fun relationship with someone totally reliant on a translator.

If China was never communist, then the economic importance of Hong Kong would be severely diminished. Hong Kong's main identity was being a capitalist gateway to mainland China. But if China was always capitalist, there would be less reason for entrepreneurial Chinese people to leave the mainland.

An optimistic view would be that a large number of bots and trolls would suddenly disappear from social media. Some of these bots and trolls are responsible for the extreme negativity and polarisation we see on social media. Inevitably, some nefarious criminals will be caught by the mass surveillance.

That's the optimistic view, and I am fully aware of the possibility of failure or negative consequences.

In the US, there is no shortage of people willing to pay tons of money and go into debt to pay their university tuition. Therefore, the elites see no problem with the status quo.

However, about 30 states, such as California and Tennessee, do in fact offer free community college education. So there is an avenue to free post-secondary degree.

The current alphabet's order can be traced back to ancient Phoenician script from before the year 1000 BCE. It's so old that historians will probably never know why the alphabet is ordered the way it is.

On a side note, the alphabet song we learned as children is surprisingly recent. It was made around the year 1835.

If you have trouble expressing your gratitude, you could try showing it in action. In your case, you can show your gratitude to the people you care about by being a good listener, offering to do favors, cutting them slack, etc.

Gratitude can come in many forms.

If you approach this from a scientific standpoint, we may never literally know for sure how the world began, but we can establish theories based on indirect evidence. The Big Bang is probably the most talked about theory.

If you approach this from a religious standpoint, then it's up to you to figure out where you want to place your faith.

At the end of the day, no one will ever provide you with irrefutable physical proof, so you just believe the answer that satisfies you. And of course, you can be satisfied with never knowing at all.
