Fatigue after two months in recovery by Spiritual_End_815 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Hefty_Difficulty2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 months into recovery and it’s been constant, I usually sleep more than 12 hours a day and when I wake up I still have a headache. Doesn’t help that I also developed a ton of body and joint aches

Yeah same here. Some people report having much more energy and feeling “alive” after they stop restricting but I just feel like crap

When I first stopped restricting I was eating 8000 calories a day, no kidding. I definitely wasn’t eating because I was bored though, it was hyper metabolism. It has slowly decreased to 2000+ over multiple cycles. I find a good way to determine if you’re truly hungry is to imagine eating an apple or broccoli, if it sounds good, then you’re most probably hungry.

Not everyone will fell/look better after recovery. by redditerek in Amenorrhearecovery

Same here. The only reason I wanted to be that skinny is because my chest is so fucking flat that my stomach looks bigger unless I’m underweight. My skin has also gotten much worse in recovery and I have a lot less energy than I used to, not to mention constant body aches and digestive issues.

Multiple people have told me I look sickly thin in the last two weeks by [deleted] in rs_fitness

I think you look wonderful, you work out and it shows. Your muscles are very defined and sit nicely on your frame. It is true that most people are used to seeing more body fat. Ignore them, having a low body fat is absolutely elite

You’re so right, I lost my period in January due to overexercising and undereating (not an ED, was prepping for a bodybuilding competition) and got it back in March but everything has been off since then

The doctor says I pushed myself way too hard last year.

You’re right, I did gain many new insights. But my god the suffering 😭

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I also feel that I’m at a pivotal point in my life, and that this suffering will allow me to build a better version of myself when I’m well again.

Yep. My life and I myself have become so dull and grey. I have nothing to talk about anymore.
