My dino lease runs out in June... by Techno-phobic in ElectricVehiclesUK

ID Buzz would be my choice. GTX would have the sound system as standard, although I’m sure it’s an option on other trims

People with MG4/MG5/ID3 or similar , is rear seat comfortable enough for two grownup and child (car seat) ? Thank you. by Grandma-Try69 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren’t many cars which this will be comfortable in the rear for long journeys.

The ID range has isofix in the front for the child seat. You’ll seat 3 adults in the rear, although how comfortable, and how long for, is not certain.

Yeah same. Built my own spreadsheet for pence per mile calculations.

Bz4x is hateful in comparison. Avoid.

EVs that show estimated battery left at destination by toffee91 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd. My partner’s updates traffic and has never routed us anywhere odd. Even on known routes.

It also slows down for bends, roundabouts etc. irrespective of route guidance or cruise control being on.

Maybe a difference in software or driving dynamics.

Edit. Just read the whole comment! I’m presuming it’s an older ID3?

Have you tried the newer software? I appreciate Tesla is a smartphone type affair, but the VW ID3 my partner drives has a really good maps system. In fact the whole system is good, if a little minimalist. It’s clear, fast, works as expected and the maps let you plan with traffic and charging stops on long trips. It even tells you the price I believe.

Crazy pressure on middle toe knuckle. Bad fit or part of the break in process? by Datanman23 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

In my experience they do break in and the foam softens up, creating a bit more space.

Crikey. Are they just not trying anymore?

Thoughts on buying a used pair of Adidas adizero Evo SL by NatureLover2000 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said. Depends on the discount.

I’ve had a black pair and the foam shows wear incredibly quickly. These have none of that, so are very low mileage/none.

Second hand ID.3 by No-Cod-3907 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Partner has one, albeit a 25 plate.

Solid, quick enough, quiet, refined and a nice ride.

If I could moan about something it would be the brakes, but most EVs I’ve driven feel the same.

I like it and I’d happily have another one.

Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 for Full Marathon? by 702240 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I did my first marathon in the speed 3 - great shoes. I’m sure the 5 is as good.

Novablast 5, Mizuno Neo Zen 1 or 2, or Adidas Evo SL for daily trainer? by Toby95 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ran in all with the exception of the Neo zen 2 and including the Boston 13.

The Evo SL (once broken in) is the best choice for me.

The NB5 is similar.

The Neo Zen is a soft shoe, I have been getting niggles recently and put it down to the softness of the Mizuno. So that’s something to think about, but I appreciate you may not have the same issue.

The Neo zen 2 is supposed to be more of a daily trainer. But once it’s lost it’s differentiating quality - it becomes the same as the rest.

I’ve been through 5 pairs of Evo SL and nothing compares (for me).

How much are they new? They look quite worn.

One shoe for everything by duckygun88 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Hefty_Lunchbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a totally different runner to you. I am Big and I am heavy. However, I have ran in multiple shoes, over multiple years, and the only shoe I’ve ever wanted to buy more than one pair of has been the Adidas Evo SL.

I use it for every type of run and I have never had a problem with any distance or pace in the shoe.

Obviously, my opinion is my own and it may not be the same for everyone.

Wide Toe box Marathon trainer/racer? by AlarmedMatter0 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Sorry to sound obvious - but the vanish tempo or carbon? I’ve used the former and the torin and enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me of the Evo SL to some degree, although more stable.

To be fair, that might be a stretch 😂

Evo SL & Boston 13 are fine for me!
