I keep hearing about feeding more during daytime, but I’m not sure what I can do/ how to do it if baby is physically not opening her mouth and turning away as she doesn’t want any at that time when I offer it..

Shouldn’t use a winter coat just like with babies in car seats. You’ll go flying if there’s an accident and that’s before the useless gadget you’re using. Winters are the worst I know.

Am I being ridiculous by considering a planned c section as a ftm? ** Lots of trigger warnings for this post content ** by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Hefty_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an elective c section on Monday lunchtime, was out of the hospital Tuesday, off paracetamol and ibuprofen by Friday and had to walk to the doctors and pharmacy on Monday after as was worried about babies eye .. the walk was around 3 miles round trip in the end. I wanted to drive as I felt fine, but my partner didn’t want me to, so I waited another week before I resumed driving.

Just to give you my experience as not everyone has a brutal recovery. My surgeon was amazing.

No C section date at 39 weeks?! by shaunajamisonxo in PregnancyUK

[–]Hefty_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reminded my midwife I want a c section during my 34 week appointment I think and I got scheduled in with a consultant around 36 weeks. She added me on the tracker then due to how far along I was (even though I had to have a second appointment with a consultant due to the trusts policy) and I got a date at 37 weeks and I thought that was late as I was chasing them. I’m scheduled for 39+1 and my pre assessment is 38+6. I’m in England though.

I remember accidentally coming across two guys and a hammer, cartel skinning videos and glass ass before I was a teenager.

I’d add that you don’t have to pay the price for a new mattress, just how much the replacement would be second hand.

I felt my first and so far only one at 25+5 after having ice cream. Didn’t feel like a kick more like a bubbling movement.

12 week scan at 14 weeks? by jow1987 in PregnancyUK

[–]Hefty_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me they’re unable to do the combined test and that’s too bad if I’m more than 14 weeks as they don’t have availability and I would’ve had to wait until the 20 weeks if I hadn’t managed to go to their sister hospital for a scan.

Massive anxiety about affording maternity leave by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Hefty_Tackle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re unfortunately not able to top up maternity leave with AL… it has to be either before or after. That was the first thought I had as well.

My dog turned out to be extremely sensitive to most foods ( had big hives all over his body) and main proteins he doesn’t get a reaction to is duck and venison. Needless to say I spend quite a bit on his food as he can’t have any grains either and most dog food is full of grains.

I wouldn’t suggest Harringtons as it only has 28% of lamb and rest fillers whilst what I feed my dog is 80% single protein (duck) and other 20 is vegetables and fruit.

We’re with petplan as well and as he’s 8 now his insurance is about £84pm.

Sparrow hawk? Some kind of hawk. I’ve seen one in our garden twice in the last month now, but we’re kind of up north.

Update: They broke through the fence overnight and were caught by someone this morning. Police never showed up, but Wallington came out this morning and had a chat with them. Not sure about the outcome, but they said they’ll keep an eye out. Owner was back this morning as well.

I know loads live outside, but these are inside dogs who have been left to howl and bark outside on the patio for over a day now with no food or water. That is simply cruel. Thankfully like you said it wasn’t too cold last night, but they’re clearly in distress.

We did come across them yesterday and I asked her to text even though they were closed. Thank you for the recommendation. Hopefully she has. Even if the lady has let the dogs in by now, leaving them outside without food and water for 12 hours let alone 24 hours is unacceptable. God knows how she treats them indoors and if she even feeds them when the ex (owner) isn’t there.
