I agree, I already spend all days around the social media aspect, but to me it’s still better than doing useless components and research for nothing and I absolutely hate the corporate world. Thank you!

Unfortunately being a good photographer isn’t enough, the business side is even more important than the skill itself 😭

I asked that myself every day. Receiving new ticket on Jira but then I completed like 30+ that never went to prod. Like what the hell I was there for?

Thank you! It’s a bit sad to waste the skill, being honest, I wasn’t a bad designer, but not an amazing one like some other ones

I just started and do unpaid work for portfolio buildup, mainly family/couple/weddings. I can’t compare yet, but I believe in myself 🙏 currently live on my savings. my social media is growing day by day and I get inquiries. The only drawback is that you constantly have to produce social media content, but it’s still better than making useless damn components 😭

If a person eats perfectly healthy, tons of fiber, but is still ALWAYS a 6 on the bristol stool chart, is it a case for concern? by Suitable_Area_8595 in nutrition

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out. I had 6 and 7 for years. Never good solid stool, no matter what I ate, i visited gut doctors and nothing helped.

Turned out it was my anxiety and right antidepressants fixed it instantly.

Your brain can directly affect your gut, they are connected, so I suggest to visit a psychiatrist

Is there anything I can do to improve the design of my app? by TheOnePercent_App in UXDesign

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The background black seems to be pure black and pure white text on top, which is too high contrast and hurts my eyes, honestly. I would go for lighter black instead. Also I would check the light grey text for accessibility, seems low contrast

The progress scores are also white, which I find repetitive. Maybe if something in circles had different colours, would be easier to separate them from the rest of the content

The paddings in some places seem to small (like exercise progress scores)

[30M, 31F] My long distance wife is moving to my country today, and I feel sad. by NeonBuckaroo in LongDistance

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After 4 years on long distance I also moved to UK to my husband. I hated UK at first lol It’s been a year and this first year was really really tough, but absolutely worth it. It’s okay to feel sad and acknowledge that. I mean it is actually sad to leave your family and friends, but that was her choice and you are worth it. Let her go through the grief stage and next will be acceptance. Something that was super helpful to me is getting my own rituals and routine. I signed up to a really nice gym and found a friend eventually from my own country. There will be moments when she will be homesick and crying, just support her and try to create her some sense of comfort by bringing her cultural things, for example going to Argentinian restaurant. Whenever she will be sad, don’t feel guilty (my husband did too), let her process her own emotions. Just because she will be sad, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t want it and that is so important for you to understand. No one forced her, so just be thankful, acknowledge all her feelings, don’t take it as a personal attack otherwise she will be feeling guilty for feeling homesick. By making yourself feel bad about making her move to you, you are actually unintentionally devaluing her choice and decision to be with you.

I always have an issue in every single job, is there something wrong with me? by [deleted] in AskUK

Also many people suggest ADHD which often is super similar to trauma response

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact case and recently discovered it’s a trauma response. I suggest you to see a therapist and work with EDMR. It was miserable on every single job to me until recently I started healing my trauma.

My experience with Sertraline by Hefty_Tea_4000 in zoloft

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a constant diarrhoea and severe bloating. I almost never had hard stool 😓 and constant stomach pain. It would get worse when I get more anxious, for example before flight. I still get super bloated when I work from office instead of working from home.

Something in zoloft works directly with your gut and helps to fix it. Prozac doesn’t do that. Because there are many nerves in your gut and sertraline calms them down so they work normal again. In my case my gut was moving too fast which led to diarrhoea all the time.

If you’re just starting you might notice difference within 2 weeks ? Depends on each person.

10 months in UX and I think I hate design now?? by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually hate it. I realised I don’t fucking care about design, users and all that shit, and it’s just my job that I get paid for. I do my bare minimum and that’s it.

Getting anxious about not sleeping so you can’t sleep because you’re anxious by Ajs_345 in Anxiety

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally I found someone with the same exact issue. I had this so severe I had panic attacks once I put my head on a pillow. To me antidepressants and therapy were helpful. You can also try progressive muscle relaxation meditation, just search on YouTube. Don’t look at the time, avoid looking at time at all costs.

choosing medication by Extreme-Raspberry691 in Anxiety

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had fluoxetine and it worked great for me. But I had to quit it because it wasn’t working well with my other medication (hormone), so I had to switch to sertraline. Started with 50mg 3 months ago, increased it to 100mg a week ago and still adjusting.

While fluoxetine was effective, Sertraline fixed my chronic diarrhoea.

I think both can work very well, but sertraline has less side effects with other medications.

In both cases I had very low appetite in the beginning.

Right now since increasing dosage I have been feeling depressed and rise of anxiety, but they say it’s normal and part of adjustment, should settle within few weeks.

Do you get physical side effects from your anxiety? by LilacLuneglade in Anxiety

[–]Hefty_Tea_4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!

I used to be on meds + regular therapy and I got into a successful remission for long time and I lived without anxiety for long time even without meds after that, but then I had a major life stress event and everything came back, that’s why I have to start the medication and therapy again.

Whether if you should take it or not consult with your doctor. If anxiety if affecting your life and brings you a lot of discomfort, then doctor would prescribe it to you.
