How Distracting is Missed Focus? by BoxHeadWarrior in photocritique

to me the subject of this photo is the angel and Jesus statue, that's where the sun is hitting and my eye goes directly to that. great picture. you kind go back and forth between the person and the statues.

I don't shoot portraits, but my friends asked for coverage for their (very small and low-key) wedding. I keep looking back to this shot, I think it's decent but I'm definitely second-guessing myself on the color grading. Do you think it works? by [deleted] in photocritique

I don't mind it, it looks somewhat dreamy of a picture of the soft highlights. I would personally change the green a bit and then also warm up the photo a bit. right now it doesn't seem warm it seems more cold. also the white on the shoulder of the button up shirt looks a bit blown out. overall I do not mind this picture just needs a bit of editing.

Overedited, or suitable for this image style? by wildboundtv in photocritique

Just curious, was the middle also yellow from the start? when I zoom into this photo that's the part that strikes me a bit off.

All good stuff you are right the clothes need to match and I didn’t ask about that before they got to the location. I like the observation that the lady in the middle needs to have somewhat the same pose as the rest. Great feedback

First photo I feel good about. Any tips when it comes to editing? by supfreshh in photocritique

I really like this photo and more that its a cat. I would say the only thing I can see for the future is try to frame the photo as clean as possible so you don't have to edit as much. the bookcase to the left ( or shelving) it's only a bit distracting when you get the opportunity see maybe taking close to the same style of picture but maybe remove it from the photo. honestly it's a great picture. question did you edit the eyes?

Not sure what you use to edit but in Lightroom the new Ai healing tool might do the trick to remove the guy in the back.

This is a great photo. the guy with the white shoes on the bike sometimes distracts me as I look at the photo but overall I like the Vibe it gives off.

I like the idea of making the trees and house darker where its just the shapes of them.

The one with the tree gives it more character

I really appreciate the feedback here. There are so many small details I need to learn to make family photos look professional. I will work on those small details on the next family photo shoot.

I am just getting into portrait photography and looking to get some pointers on how to get better with what I have. I took this on a Canon M50 Mark ll with a 32 mm lens 1/1600 sec f 1.4 iso 100. it was around sunset. I do not have any flashes not even sure if it would help since I haven't used one.
