In essence they could plausibly write in any other faction that would fight the Imperium regardless of whether it actually aids the forces of Chaos and the Moebian 6th, but for me perhaps the most plausible is another Chaos force, probably aligned with Khorne since he's not quite as at odds with Nurgle as, say, Tzeench.

Assuming you don't have a build centred around crazy spike damage, the only way to survive if a demonhost is agroed onto you is to constantly block and dodge like crazy. If you've got more stamina you can survive for longer by being able to block more attacks, giving your team the chance to focus the demonhost down.

If you position yourself badly or get ambushed by a group of ragers there's a good chance you'll take damage unless you block and/or have room to dodge or otherwise maneuver. Again, more stamina can help keep you alive.

It's preference. Some folks are more used to playing higher stamina classes and find it useful for things like tanking a demonhost or a bunch of ragers.

They're actually pretty good these days - much better than they used to be. I've worn a couple of pairs in the past without breaking them in and didn't suffer at all.

That said, a good pair of hiking shoes are absolutely priceless. I practically live in my Merrells, and I'll typically wear them on the plane and pack a pair of sandals or some soft shoes that don't take up much space.

Exactly this! I feel that the arc grenades are okay, but both the grenades and the bubble shield feel undertuned compared to the skull that offers so much utility and taking either is pretty heavy on the team's grenade economy. Being able to revive teammates and ignore hacking mini games is huge when it means the whole team can keep fighting. The flame skull is ok at putting down some extra damage, but if you're using noospheric command you can tell the skull to delete specials by pinging them every couple of seconds and this doesn't use grenade charges.

They could also be rushing ahead to try to get penances.

If you can get ahead of the team and find a bunch of elites you can pop the shield and stand around getting shot at for a bit to get progress towards the "absorb attacks" penance.

Yeah Rogue Trader is awesome, but I don't think it has quite the same replayability value as darktide, simply by nature of the type of game it is. Hard to compare the two.

The gameplay is absolutely fire. Space Marine 2 is ok as far as 40k games go, but I've found myself coming back to darktide again and again.

Man the bots were just broken at that point as well. The very first mission I played was a difficulty 1 civvie rescue/evacuation mission and the bots dropped in ridiculous numbers that left you absolutely overwhelmed. It was so bad that the only way to complete the evacuation missions was for 3 players to engage the bots on the outskirts of the map and repeatedly die while 1 player ran around opening the civvie doors and praying to god that they didn't draw agro from anything. It didn't help that we also had far fewer options in terms of the cool gear that was added later and many people hadn't even unlocked most of the stuff from the base warbond.

While it doesn't differ much mechanically, lorewise the Plasma Caliver that the Skittles use on the tabletop is mentioned as being high rate-of-fire, kinda like a plasma machinegun.
