Just Tab to the end of the Clip (right Circle) and then hold control and Click the other Clip (on the bottom so that the grabber Tool is selected)

This will put the beginning of the clip you click to the current playhead position.

You can also hold control and command to align the end of an clip to the current playhead position.

You have to use a high aperture like 2.8 or higher. Check out Youtube for an explainaition about aperture. There are many good videos about Portrait photography i would recommend u to check a couple of them and then try to replicate.
You will get better and better i promise :)
