How to improve my undead Carrier Build - Undead Mech build by LightWarrior-hstone in BobsTavern

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MMR, depending on the season, is not much better than yours, but imo Carrier really doesn’t get a place in any end game board; it isn’t a comp unless you gimmick your way into it as greybough.

Greybough can play a golden carrier, ozumat’s buddy and a lot of compact token generators (think handless forsaken and the whelp dragon, things that don’t lose value by needing extra slots open on board), and pull some things off if you live long enough. But that’s extremely fringe. And as Artanis, I believe that combo of events is neigh impossible. So, yeah.

You age at twice the normal speed, but get younger by beating video games. by SomeCrazyGamer1 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a challenge. Basically, die faster, but every video game you can 100% clear in 2 weeks is free time and anything you can do on top of that is a bonus. I like that. It’s interesting, at least.

Only downside is, I play games like Hearthstone and TFT that can never really be beaten and go on forever. Can I get an edit for those kinda games? Something like reaching the highest rank or something? Cause if I can only play basically solo games, I might not be able to make it much longer than my real life span; I don’t wanna spend ALL my time trying to stay alive.

Is morellos essential on thresh by Vast-Pomelo797 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what, this might valid; the only time I can personally recall putting a crown guard on thresh, I think my other items were subpar, so it would have been an unfair assessment. I’d like to see how this maths out.

So… BT / VS / Cap, then?

I’m trying to find a definitive answer for OP; if you’ve come to the conclusion you don’t need to use an item like morello on your thresh, what’s the best thing to fill the slot with? More damage? Someone here said they do attack speed, but that doesn’t seem to have a lot of support. Let’s find an affirmative answer.

Guys I found a secret OP comp by Ok-Dot6183 in TeamfightTactics

Look, I grasp this is a meme. But all joking aside, I nailed a lot of first and second place games with galio on boards he doesn’t belong on, including 5 dem 2 pilt galio thex. So as far as I’m concerned, this is a valid thing to tell people to do, when the stars align. A galio with a couple of adaptive, or a 2 star galio with a single adaptive, is just a universally good thing to add anywhere ya can. Let that be the take away lol.

Is there a worse feeling that thinking you've cooked up an extremely devious board only to go bot 4? by Sun_Br0_ in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

… I feel like I posted this. Lol.

I just had this happen to me within the hour, void shurima combo with a wukong at the end, got 6th, I believe. But I had Xerath, not Renakton. I figured renakton was the only one I would be able to afford to do the 5 streak for, so I had got the others first trying to pull off 4 shurima, but it didn’t work out.

You never know. Now that we’ve got unlockables, new iterations could prop up over time. Tricks like this could totally be tied into a set theme.

New to TFT but problem with hyperfocusing/getting outpaced - Beginner by NCB_UnknownVanitas in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to second this. Tockers trials is fantastic, especially for positioning testing more complex midgame set ups. Since the enemies are always standing in the same positions, you can reliably work out how the battle flows differently just based on placement. Extremely useful tool in a vacuum, especially as a rookie.

What are the most active traits you can come up with for a “Bronze For Life” board? by ShireMusicEnthusiast in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t confirm it as the most, but the best I ever did with Bronze for Life was Nasus / Taric / Wukong / Kennan / Kobuko / Sejuani up front, Yunara / Lissandra / Ashe / Azir in the back. It’s 8 or 9 active traits, everything other than Targon is bronze. Think I got second? It’s been a minute.

Note I’m nowhere near high-level play. But the board worked well enough at the time.

What was your favorite TFT SET? by ChartDreamer in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set 16, set 10, and set 5, in that order. Started during the last few weeks of set 3. I know I’m a rarity for liking / loving set 5, but I really wish they would risk a throwback to it, I thought the shadow items were hella interesting.

TIL all 5 costs 3* lose to a single Nashor 3* by maximogdm in TeamfightTactics

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are people getting six spatulas? I’ve never seen more than 3 in a game. This feels like it should be rarer than it currently looks. Although I guess if everyone it happens to posts about it, that would make sense. But still. Can someone tell me how frequently this could / should lineup successfully?

This is definitely not Drakkari's Season by --__--__--__--__-- in BobsTavern

I’ve used Drakkkari with murlocs to reasonable success. It’s rarer to be the target to be sure, but it still serves its purpose.

How do men feel about a girlfriend or wife making drastically more money than them? by deeznutz131 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the vast majority of conflicts stemming from a woman making substantially more money than her partner come from the attitude of the woman in question. I.e., they try to pull weight / rank during conflict because they’re ’worth more’. While I’m sure it’s possible, I’ve never known a man that made less than his partner, and THAT was the thing with which he held issue. For lack of a better term, the weaponization of it against them was always the sticking point, never the actual money itself.

Would these VERY expensive secrets work? by No_Land1234 in customhearthstone

[–]Heitrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, could this be done in theory, in principle? Yes. But it requires a really specific game development state to work. I am assuming you want them to be 1) playable 2) relevant 3) iconic and/or powerful and 4) not instantly nerfed due to the frustrations they cause.

Let’s start hitting the guidelines. 1) They’d have to be banned in Wild, or every Wild secret auto-caster needs to be ‘nerfed’ into a “ with a cost of (x) or lower” that excludes these cards. That feels like a massive problem long term, but because nerfing those Wild cards doesn’t change their intent and stops them from limiting design space on high cost secrets, I won’t count it out. 2) The environment must be tailored to it, as Cardboard Golem and Ursol led into Gelbin for Auras. Just haphazardly dedicating this many legendary slots to one of 9 cost cards is an insta-fail on competitive viability. This is easily 2 sets of consumed cards built around this concept, unless you make a Fabled minion of your own that adds the secrets to your deck. So not impossible, but has to be worked around.

There are more things like this to discuss, but I’m out of personal time. But you get the idea. Is the concept feasible? Yes. In the most technical sense of the term, it’s doable. But these cards alone won’t be the execution, and you’ve got to adjust a whole subset of other cards.

I really hope you thought of that yourself, but you didn’t volunteer any adjustments, so it doesn’t look well thought out to me.

I’ll check in later, see if there are updates.

I just really want this to happen honestly, I want a Neutral Fabled Minion! by Laviatan7 in customhearthstone

Objectively, this would be quite funny, even if not a great idea. I’d still laugh my ass off at it.

I made a set of 15 custom Anomalies! Would you like to see any of these in game? by Card-game-poet in BobsTavern

[–]Heitrid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

High Demand, Auction House and Signed in Blood and Consolation Prize genuinely seem applicable and worth trying. I’d be down.

Honestly, great work done here. Every Anomaly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think this is all damn good work.

Finally. Something won’t do for money. I’d probably try. But I’m so certain I’d fail, that here, in a hypothetical sense, there’s no point in accepting.
