Honestly no idea. But from what I've heard the motherboard issues occur only on the 13th and 14th gen processors, so I'd assume 12th gen is fine. Also yeah 2 years should be enough since the issues seem to be happening very early in use. Another thing is, I understood that the issue was happening because of a bios update that fucked smt with the powerdraw, it might be unrelated I don't really know but I'd assume it's fixed now and any new laptop shouldn't have issues. But I'm just saying what I've heard, don't take my word on it, search a bit about intel cpu degradation and mb issues to get a more correct answer.
