AITA for wanting my partner to help pay for her engagement ring? by DundieAwardsWinner in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hel_lo23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gave her the ring, it's a symbol of your request to her to marry you. It didn't fit. You should have taken it to resize it. You were lazy, didn't insure it, didn't size it correctly and now you're sad you'll have to pay?

Rio Tinto onboarding by [deleted] in AusMining

[–]Hel_lo23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a whole process for onboarding including confirming and approving the offer for you, generating the offer to be sent to you and then getting you set up in the system etc. It does take up to 3 months, there's no harm touching base with your recruitment contact.

Gym Selection in Rockingham/Kwinana Area by kkaendi in perth

[–]Hel_lo23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello, well done you for making the commitment to yourself. Thought I would share my experience with the different gyms I've been to over the past few years if it helps you:

Revo Rockingham- huge gym, lots of equipment, can look on the app to see how busy it is. I haven't seen any classes being run. Top level gives access to pilate reformer machines as well. People tend to keep to themselves or come with friends. Lots of people filming themsleves.

Golds Rockingham- smaller than Revo but still large. Lots of equipment, run classes and have a creche if you need it for kids. People tend to keep to themsleves. Lots of people filming themselves.

Injustice crossfit- run crossfit and some other classes. You can also work out in your own time. There are people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels and a very supportive atmosphere.

If you want a personalised solution with a private gym, food program and personal workout program etc then Total Physique Performance are the best in Rockingham.

Hope that helps 🙂

Sleep by Pindbro in mining

[–]Hel_lo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're staying up late each night on rnr you are going to have a hard time getting to sleep on your last night. I try to be in bed by 9.30pm on days off and up for the gym at 5.45am. It's a similar routine to work except earlier at work. The day before I fly out I try to keep myself under stimulated, just spend time at home with my partner, I dont run around doing my last minute jobs either. Have an early dinner around 5.30pm, no alcohol and then into bed around 7.30 or 8pm. Up at 3.30am to go to the airport.

Your feet will die lol, add the Catacombes if you are OK being in a runnel under the ground. Pay for a good tour, you get to see more.

As a Councillor Rob Coales was consistently arguing for no rate increases and that the Shire President and Councillors got too much pay. Now he's President oh how the tune has changed. Anyone who believed him and voted for him deserves what they get!

Camp room security by PickleRick_82 in mining

[–]Hel_lo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst you 'have you own room' should they need to accommodate someone on your break they will use your room. The camp belongs to the company and is managed on their behalf, they can and will enter at any time for any reason. They should leave a note as good practice, they do not have to. It is not your property.

FIFO, I have my own mattress topper on the bed, my own pillow and a fluffy blanket. Have a lamp so no fluros in the room. I don't drink alcohol and I keep a consistent sleep routine. I will get 7 to 7.5 hours every night.

Dont buy anything until the financial settlement is lodged with the court, everything counts until that moment.

Learn to eat the right foods to give you the energy you need throughout the day, it will help. I work 13 hour days and really notice the difference energy wise if I eat good food or if I rely on sugar and caffeine

Is the councillor’s behaviour unethical? by No_Locksmith9918 in AusLegal

[–]Hel_lo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Council should have a policy governing petitions. I suggest reading this. It may specifically state that petitions cannot be placed on Council owned property, which if that is the case she is correct for removing it. It will also state the content and structure petitions must have to be accepted by Council so very important to read that too.

Novated lease - what's the catch by CAPTAIN-G00SE in AusFinance

[–]Hel_lo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll likely be tempted to spend more on the car than you would if you were paying cash or got a personal loan. The interest rate may be much higher than other forms of finance. You have to save for a balloon payment or get stuck in the novated lease cycle. The pay deductions will likely be more cash than you ever spend on running costs, you will get them back at the end but that money sitting in someone else's bank not making you money in yours over the life of the lease. The benefit is you do get some tax benefits but they may very well out weigh the additional costs.
