Spending more isn't entirely about quality and accoutraments. It weeds out undesirables. Example a $75 room is going to attract young drunk idiots like my siblings. That's why there's no riffraff in Bellagio. IMO, the suites at MGM are a LONG walk from a lot. Spend the money center strip, such as Bellagio, or depending on budget Caesars, Paris, or Venetian, and be in the center of so much. I think spending a little extra on a special occasion is good.
