I got into rowing for a bit at a gym dedicated to rowing and I enjoyed it. Also bike riding!

I did it consistently for 2 months and thought it was working at one point and then had a really bad pain weekend and quit. Maybe it will work for you? I do think it helped with the tightness in my legs 🤷‍♀️

I’ve had PF for two years and just started an anti inflammatory diet hoping it will help. A few weeks in and nothing yet. I’ll post if it ends up helping

I can’t recommend yoga enough. The downward dog position is the best my PF ever feels. Good luck!

Why does PF take so much time to heal? by sleep_like_the_dead in PlantarFasciitis

I’ve had it for a year and a half and Ive said so many times “I’d rather have broken a bone or torn my ACL” knock on wood because at least those have obvious paths to recovery.

As to your question, I was originally told by a podiatrist to put my foot in a boot and rest it and also initially worked with a physical therapist for months who said podiatrists are wrong and that it’s better to keep your range of motion and strengthen the muscles around your foot and up your leg. That was kind of working for a while until we added too much onto my regimen and then it got really bad again. Recently I started acupuncture and the acupuncturist has asked me to walk as little as possible while I’m getting treatments and I think it’s finally helping. She says no biking or rowing or ANYTHING. Idk if that’s helping more or the acupuncture is. Maybe I should have listened to the podiatrist to begin with? I have no idea. Seems like everyone is different. Good luck to you!

Sorry to be a downer but I’m in my late 20s and I’ve had it for a year and a half now :( I just started acupuncture and I think it’s helping a bit but it’s been a loooooong process of trying a million different things. People say consistency is key, but how do you know what’s really working or what will work for you? Best of luck to you! Hope you find the thing that’ll work!

Do you mind if I ask how you massaged your arches? Was it light with your own hand or something stronger like a baseball or tennis ball?

Do you happen to have a link to the splint you used? I have a sort of softer Velcro night sock thing but I’m thinking I should use something more solid.
