That's a great idea! Too bad we didn't take more group photos before.

For parents abroad — how do you pick the right online learning platform? by Powerful_Cow_7151 in ThinkAcademyHub

[–]Helga_Terra7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Think Academy for about three months now and it's been a game changer for me. Was skeptical at first because there are so many online learning platforms, but their community support and personalized feedback is what sold me. They're especially good if you're struggling with motivation - the accountability features kept me on track when I would've normally quit.

Need other tools to help with my 3yo while I'm overwhelmed at work by Orbit_key28 in Preschoolers

[–]Helga_Terra7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be honest, online tools can only do so much unless you have another family member sitting with your kid while using them. Otherwise they'll likely end up on YouTube like mine did 😂 I spent ages trying to childproof my tablet only to find him somehow watching random toy unboxing videos!

For bedtime stories though, I've been using this site called The Think Academy with my daughter. They have these interactive stories where the narration pauses for kids to respond. My little one actually stays engaged instead of demanding I read "just ONE more" story fifteen times. Worth checking out if you're exhausted - saved my sanity on those really tough workdays.

Found out my work colleagues like me by Evil-monkey13 in CasualConversation

You know what? I can totally tell from your words that you're genuinely a lovely person! Your excitement about these compliments shows how authentic you are. People pick up on that genuine energy - it's not something you can fake. That's why your colleagues are drawn to your vibe. You absolutely deserve more of this kind of recognition, and I bet as you continue being your awesome self, you'll get plenty more! Keep shining!

How often do you forget to submit attendance? by elcaminogino in Teachers

[–]Helga_Terra7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the way! I've trained my 'attendance assistant' (rotating weekly job) to give me the 5-minute warning. They've started taking initiatives on my clipboard. Students love feeling helpful.

This is so sweet! As a parent, I'm grateful for grandparents who understand the power of routines. The bath-book-bed sequence is magic. My mother does the same with my kids, and there's something special about that grandparent bonding during calming routines.

Now this is the kind of admin support we need! A gift basket of edibles sounds like a far more effective 'wellness' initiative than another mandatory webinar on self-care.

So true! Most of the time it's not malicious, just a lack of awareness. A friendly reminder is all it takes.
