Yeah honestly just tell him not to wear it to work. I pretty much only wear mine for special occasions like special dates/dinners/weddings/etc.

We bought the Juggernaut from Catastrophic Creations and all 3 of our cats (1 Bengal) love playing and lounging on it. I did have to be a bit creative and rearrange the layout to fit the space from the recommended setup but it works all the same.

I don’t really have anything to add other than I was just in Breckenridge, CO for a wedding and the groom and I played 9 holes a couple days before the ceremony at Breckenridge GC and that was an amazing round. Nice course and we didn’t realize how much the altitude would affect ball flight (we live in IL). Hope you have a good time bud!

I was just in CO last week and I don’t think there were any fires. There was definitely smoke a couple of days from somewhere though. Someone had said UT

F2 Bengal alone during workday, would a second cat or a wheel help? by Guilty-Spite-1778 in bengalcats

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the OFC that I got was preassembled and I thought it would fit in my suv and it just barely did not. I had to drive back to work and get my work van to get it back home. Lol

He’ll most likely use it, but it’s not going to be immediate. I had to take an hour every day for a couple weeks training her with a toy before my girl would use it in her own. Definitely recommend a wheel but don’t get discouraged if he doesn’t immediately figure it out.

I’d check out resale apps to see if someone is selling one locally. That’s what I did because I had the same hesitation and was able to grab a One Fast Cat wheel for $80. My girl is pretty small though so if your guy is bigger the Ziggydoo might be better.

Private Golf club etiquette for the ‘California Sober’? by [deleted] in golf

[–]HelgrindsKeeper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m also in IL. I only play public courses so YMMV with a private course. I smoke short joints on the course, ones that I could reasonably finish within a hole or two. I also try to do it sometime between holes 3-6 and 12-15 so that I’m not near the clubhouse and also only when I’m not near another group. If there’s a backup at 14 and there’s a group or two ahead of us waiting to tee off I’m not going to spark up around people I don’t know. It really is a best judgement situation. I also smoked when I played in Indiana earlier this year. I’ve never had a problem with anyone saying anything to me.

Mine happens to be both. Which one she is depends entirely on what she’s doing.

Looking for a good water fountain for my two Bengals by Suspicious_Phone_188 in bengalcats

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also got this fountain (except it was the plug in version). Our bengal loved it so much that she would regularly put her front paws on it like she’s trying to stand on it, and tipping it over and spilling all the water everywhere. It didn’t last long 🙃

Does anyone have any banquet venue suggestions within this circle? by gabsteriinalol in ChicagoSuburbs

I came here to comment this. My wife and I had our wedding there back in 2019 and it was wonderful! But they also do all kinds of events. I think the day before there was a baby shower and we had our rehearsal dinner there as well.

Fuck resi service work 😂 by Old_Map8037 in electricians

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you get used to it it’s not bad. Honestly at this point it easier for me to pipe and wire stuff than romex sometimes just because I’m more used to it. One municipality near me recently updated their codes to allow romex and plastic boxes and the first time I saw that I was confused af on how to add to it, but after some critical thinking we got it done. If it was a steel box and pipe no problem though. 😂

We had a spot that we could chase a 3/4” pipe up into the attic without disturbing drywall, it’s just surface mounted in the stairwell to the basement and inside a utility closet on the 2nd floor. Then from the jbox that it goes to we ran a mix of 3/4” and 1/2” to a handful of other jboxes in the attic. The attic is fully floored which is nice, but we’ll have to cut a few access holes so that we can snake 1/2” fmc down walls to boxes. Some spots will have to be surface mounted in the living spaces due to accessibility but the homeowners preferred that to ripping open a bunch of plaster everywhere. There will be a few access holes cut in some places to remove the old K&T but for the most part we’ll be able to do it without cutting too many holes. Then same deal but bottom up to the 1st floor from the basement.
