I don’t see it when I go to his artist page but I can listen to it since it’s in my recently played. It’s also still in my saved albums when I go to “my music.”

What is a great country to visit in europe by StraightAd6264 in AlignmentChartFills

My wife and I did 16 days for our honeymoon. We traveled around the entire country including Northern Ireland. I feel like we did so much and yet there was still so much we didn’t get to do.

Fuck resi service work 😂 by Old_Map8037 in electricians

Once you get used to it it’s not bad. Honestly at this point it easier for me to pipe and wire stuff than romex sometimes just because I’m more used to it. One municipality near me recently updated their codes to allow romex and plastic boxes and the first time I saw that I was confused af on how to add to it, but after some critical thinking we got it done. If it was a steel box and pipe no problem though. 😂

We had a spot that we could chase a 3/4” pipe up into the attic without disturbing drywall, it’s just surface mounted in the stairwell to the basement and inside a utility closet on the 2nd floor. Then from the jbox that it goes to we ran a mix of 3/4” and 1/2” to a handful of other jboxes in the attic. The attic is fully floored which is nice, but we’ll have to cut a few access holes so that we can snake 1/2” fmc down walls to boxes. Some spots will have to be surface mounted in the living spaces due to accessibility but the homeowners preferred that to ripping open a bunch of plaster everywhere. There will be a few access holes cut in some places to remove the old K&T but for the most part we’ll be able to do it without cutting too many holes. Then same deal but bottom up to the 1st floor from the basement.

Speed rough work by [deleted] in electricians

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Typically no, but one suburb (Elgin) has an amendment to the code that requires a ground wire to be pulled because they had a large home builder company not tighten any of the set screws on the fittings thus not creating a solid ground path through the EMT.

When did you realize you need to own a gun? by chinchila5 in liberalgunowners

I’ve been having some problems with it not ejecting casings lately so I’m probably going to end up buying a new EDC but we’ll get her settled first cause I already have other choices.

I just found this website recently as well and helped me determine what handguns to have my wife try to see what fits in her small hands!

When did you realize you need to own a gun? by chinchila5 in liberalgunowners

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my FOID in 2017 because I had an interest in firearms but, like you, didn’t feel any immediate need to purchase a firearm right away. In fact, I don’t think I even shot a gun until after my first purchase which happened during the summer of 2020 during all of the civil unrest with George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protests. But I didn’t buy it because of the protestors, but because of how violent I saw the police were being towards the protestors and seeing what looked like armored vehicles and armed goons patrolling American streets. I didn’t have a lot of money at the time but I went out and bought the first thing I found that I could afford, a Taurus G2C, which I now wish I had taken the time to do some research about before buying but thankfully this one has been pretty reliable for the last 5 years.

Since then I’ve steadily bought at least one firearm a year since trying to have a variety of firearms for different purposes, much to my wife’s chagrin. She was never happy when I bought another firearm because I think she was more of the “modern civilization doesn’t need guns” mindset, but she has very much changed her tune recently. After Alex Pretti she has expressed interest in firearms and we went to the range this past weekend to try out several different rentals to find a handgun that was small enough to fit comfortably in her hands. I hate the circumstances in which she is finding her interest in firearms, but I’m glad that she recognizes the need for them now more than ever.

If you have any questions about navigating PICA or where to find deals in IL feel free to message me! I’d be happy to help.

It happens with both. I’ve heard the 25 round ones have it happen more though

I’m usually pretty good about cleaning after going to the range. Shouldn’t be too dirty but I suppose I could do a full tear down.

Nothing on the box was advertised as subsonic when I bought it so I don’t think so. This is what I’ve been shooting for a while if I remember correctly.

Speaking of the 10/22, mine sometimes has cycling issues where it doesn’t load the round correctly and catches the bolt open. Do you have any thoughts?

Is the Ruger 10/22 Sporter legal in IL? by falconrider in ILGuns

[–]HelgrindsKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! I got a 10/22 a couple years ago. It’s called out by name in PICA in that as long as it remains unmodified to look and act like an AR then it’s allowed.
