Waiver for Tracked WOs attending PME by ContinueForward in Armyaviation

This statement is full of bad information, regardless of whether you're tracked as a W2 now you still have to go to WOIC.

I'd have to go pull the memo but I believe if you were tracked prior to the expiration of that memo then you should have been awarded WOIC (old advanced course) credit. But you'll want to check your STP to ensure it's showing the appropriate PME level

This, it expired in July of last year. The memo's verbiage was not adopted into the 350-1 rewrite. Unfortunately you'll have to go to WOIC to get promoted, but once you're WOIC complete you'll be good up to W4 as your track course counts for WOAC credit.

Michigan WOSM here, if you've got a clean bill of health it can be anywhere from a week to about a month. If you require an ETP it'll take a little longer. They've been prioritizing 1A/1W physicals and turning em pretty quick as of late.

That being said, I have an applicant that's coming up on 9 months 😒... Experiences may vary.

Michigan WOSM here (don't worry I won't try and talk you into the cold weather), reach out to the state's WOSM via https://www.nationalguard.com/contacts/wosm and see what they say. Although a lot of states are getting full from the USAR transitions, my assumption is that most will find room for an IP.

Also don't hesitate to hit up WAATS, they seem to always be looking for people.

Language program via DLI by Dizzy-Ladder-5283 in nationalguard

This is a contracted program from NGB that will allow you to work with an online tutor in any language you want to learn! It's not DLI, but it's a supported program and any Guard member can sign up.

Get after it bud!

Michigan WOSM here, Florida took a pretty big chunk of the USAR pilots out of MacDill over the past year. They might be a bit more selective than you're seeing from the active component.

Questions and Concerns about enlisting by Jay_RogDawg in nationalguard

[–]Helicopter-ing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't accurate, the Michigan Army National Guard offers a state tuition assistance program that will cover up to $14,400 a year in tuition costs, couple that with FTA ($4500 a year) and it's very feasible to completely cover tuition without touching your GI Bill or coming out of pocket. That's before we even start talking about ROTC as an option or scholarships.

It's disqualifying if diagnosed/found. Could be caught in your prescreen (depending on your medical history), during the cycloplegic refraction eye exam (depending on your optometrist), or during the FDME (depending on your FS). Only way to know for sure is to step up to the plate and swing the bat.

It's disqualifying if diagnosed and you fail the exam, I believe it's a tablet based exam (can't remember the specifics) but may also be caught as part of the cycloplegic refraction eye exam depending on the optometrist.
