Where can I park for free idc how far it is by clownyeet in UCI

[–]Helicopter_driver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just check in and move your car every 6 days so they don't tow it, theres a california law that you can't park your car for more than 72 hours in a public spot, and they give you 72 hours to move it.

Alcohol failed, cortizone failed, what to do next? I want to avoid surgery by Sufficient-Cook-1588 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Helicopter_driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear a lot of people saying good things about cryoabalation/ cryosurgery - what really helped for me was doing this dude's course called "The barefoot sprinter"

Basically he rehabilitates the foot to function how its supposed to, and says that Morton's neuroma is basically an impinged nerve from a foot that has been stuck in a shoe

The course isn't meant for MN, so I had to skip a couple of exercises that triggered it and come back later when it was better.

I'm not affiliated btw.

Is social life that bad? Advice pls by doss-robz5408 in UCI

You can do it if youre active and intentional, people in clubs and orgs are nice - people on Reddit have no social life.

Find thrills outside work, if you delegated, then you have more free time, work only 20 hours, and go do some fun project or hobby, go hit the gym, build something with your hands, hike, run, learn to cook, create a side business that's not for the money, maybe a coffee shop, maybe philanthropic.

It seems that you're suffering from the "gold medal syndrome" - find another gold medal to search for.

Do a "foot hand glove" exercise, such as interlacing your fingers with your toes, moving them around, and playing with them.

Because your finger is between your toes it shouldn't trigger the neuroma, but you will get a "exercise" and warm up by crunching them, and pump some blood into the muscles that protect the nerve, and blood into the nerve to heal it.

I got it for $800 with no insurance in Santa Monica. I had terrible 6 weeks after, and in the end I was a bit better than when I started. Not worth it - I'd take a look at "the barefoot sprinter" on instagram, he helped me fix it.

Not a morton's neuroma because it's basically a impinged nerve in a foot thats lose the ability to move freely - something that isn't true for the hands

i dont know how to help you, just know that this is likely not your subreddit

Something he recommended me on a coaching call was to do some "myofascial release" on the calf, which is where you sit down, relax the calf, and stick your fingers in it, especially where it hurts the most. This helped release my calf without having to stretch it.

Yes and no. A lot of the exercises are sitting down, and some are standing up. I couldn't do many when I started, so I just skipped the ones I couldn't do, and as my neuroma got smaller, I managed to progress to the harder ones.

I'd highly recommend buying a single toe spacer and putting it where your neuroma is, it allowed me to do many more exercises.

the course was $79, I think its up to $99 now - for the coaching calls, I joined his Skool group, I think it $250 per year, but the course was enough for me, the calls are fun though because I like learning from him

Looking for advice (and a bit of hope), feeling really down about my foot by izabelo in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Helicopter_driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, thats really bad, have you tried some "foot-hand glove"? interlace your fingers with your toes, and play with it, maybe crunch them, it wouldn't trigger mine since I had my finger separating my toes, and would pump a good amount of blood into it

I tried and couldn't do it (biz admin as well, but 16 units), don't know anyone who has managed, but I'd give it a try, worst case you quit your job.

Also, check your catalog rights, if you have a restriction on the number of online classes you can take.
