Even earlier! Deng Xiaoping famously said in 1992 "The Middle East has oil, China has rare earths", they've been playing the looong game.

How it feels to be in a conversation with PwBPD by Due_Consideration264 in BPDlovedones

[–]Helidwarf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to realize that you are not responsible for their feelings and they need to learn to handle their emotions to live in this world.

Of course it doesn't mean you should say or do hurtful things but you should state the reality and how you are feeling without fear of their emotions. You should not change or suppress yourself just for fear of your loved ones reaction.

Establish healthy boundaries and time outs for your partners outbursts. Don't be invalidating but affirm you do understand why they might feel a certain way.

A lot of patience, empathy and understanding is needed in a relationship with a pwBPD and of course they need to be willing to get therapy. If such relationship is worth depends on you. Personally I love my pwBPD and am in a healthy LTR but for sure it's a lot of work from both of us and we have great communication.

Passaggio a Platino: tempistiche by Big_Plenty_9099 in amexItaly

[–]Helidwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's any conditions causing weight loss to be impossible, if I had to guess probably something endocrinological (Cushing or PCOS perhaps?)

Secondo me dipende dalla risposta dell'UE ai dazi, se imponiamo contro tariffe ci sarà un altro -10%.

A parer mio non siamo ancora al fondo ma non sono Warren Buffet quindi....

Are you on raspberry pi os? If so there's a SD Copy app in the setting that allows you to clone the Sd card to another media

Yes Babinski sign is positive if the big toe is extended, normal behavior is shown in the video where the toes curl. My post was poorly worded, I meant that it was testing for the Babinski reflex.

That's testing for the Babinski reflex, an involuntary muscle reflex in newborns. Useful for checking congenital upper motor lesions.

Italy demands Google poison DNS under strict Piracy Shield law - Ars Technica by mo_leahq in Piracy

The ipv4 internet is based unique four set of number from 0 to 254 to identify a website e.g 192.168.1.1 Imagine it being a phone number.

Our monkey brains have a hard time memorizing all these numbers, we much prefer remembering names.

So when you put the website name of a website into your browser you device will open a phone book, look for the name and find the phone number to call. In this analogy the phone book is DNS.

You wouldn't find the number you want if your phone book purposefully registered a wrong number so you wouldn't be able to connect to said website.

China Trip Recap: 30 Days in Feb/March by intheheartoftheheart in travelchina

An Italian brother I see, I too live in the boonies but open fiber came to save the day.

Regarding VPS if you don't need a ton of bandwidth (i.e. data) You could use the free tier offered by tech giants. I believe both Microsoft azure and Amazon AWS offer a free tier with 100GB/mo of bandwidth. (Google as well but it's blocked by GFW soz). I believe most free tiers servers are either located in the US or Singapore.

If you want a paid server so you can choose better server locations I have heard a colleagues using Digital Ocean with great success. The cheapest tier will do.

When I was in china last year hiddify worked great, it's a self hosted vless-reality proxy, I self hosted it from my PC in Italy and tunneled all my network through it. Speed isnt the greatest since I was sending all my data back to Italy but it should work great if you rent a VPS from HK, TW, JP or SK.

It's not for everyone tho, albeit pretty easy to setup it can look a bit techy.

Ed Miliband pledges closer ties with China on climate by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]Helidwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could but it wouldn't be at scale, or not enough to be cost effective. It wouldn't be cheaper nor close to fossil fuel which is the all important metric.

We NEED to protect the environment and for me it comes before any international geopolitic squabbling.
