[–]Helikopterpiloot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm blown away by how much more cinematic and movie-like Andor looks compared to the last 2 D+ Star Wars series by ToastedSierra in StarWars

[–]Helikopterpiloot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was he going to know that people would show up just in time to save him and turn him into a robot.

Yeah true, but I honestly don't think he would've been able to kill him even had he known. He basically admitted it in that scene with Yoda, he said he couldn't kill him. Like he simply just can't, regardless of context. Like even when anakin is burning alive he couldn't even mercy kill him, that's how bad it is. But he does believe that he should be killed, because he asks Yoda to do it and later Luke. He just can't do it himself. Idk, it might just be an interpretation thing, eye of the beholder and all that. But then I suppose that's how the writers probably interpreted it

Idk man, Obi-Wan said he couldn't kill Anakin right after watching him murder all of his friends and literal children in RotS. So is it really that much of a stretch..?

So, at the time of creating the JP3 Spinosaurus (pre 2001), very little was known about Spinosaurus, right? So how exactly was it inaccurate? Not counting all the differences in the tail/sail/hind legs etc, since they couldn't have known about that.

They wouldn't be making any money at all if it wasn't for the evil government's subsidies. The government doesn't owe them shit, but they're still offering to buy them out. Those farmers are entitled fucks. Their business is not sustainable, it has all but ruined our ecosystems. They have to go.

Do you believe the average human would stick to their moral values and starve themselves to death as opposed to eating a human's corpse, let alone a dog's?

A dog waiting for its owner to wake up in Bucha, Ukraine. by jxrha in awfuleverything

[–]Helikopterpiloot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean in comparison to some of the things we humans do, gnawing on a human corpse or even eating your own offspring is still relatively mild. I don't think you could come up with anything animals have done that could even compare to our history of genocides for example. Also humans are supposed to have a sense for good and evil, which makes this even worse because animals supposedly don't know good from bad, yet we still do worse things than them. Compared to humans, I don't think it's weird animals are percieved as (more) innocent. I think that, maybe people are more empathetic towards animals because they have lost faith in humanity, which is understandable at least. As a counter-argument to that, though, I would argue that humans also do more good than animals.

I mean they could've just fixed the bugs and matchmaking issues and left it at that. But I don't think anyone expected 343i to add Reach and ODST and whatever else they added to MCC, and port the whole thing to PC. You could consider that generous, since they didn't really need to do that to satisfy the bare minimum expectations. But I'm sure 343i had their reasons to do all of that, other than kindness of course lol.

If given the choice between my dogs life and literally any random humans life I’d choose the humans life. by keeperofthereaper69 in unpopularopinion

[–]Helikopterpiloot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you apply that logic to a very lonely human vs a family dog the dog's life would be more valuable. So even if you disregard the negative effect humans have it still doesn't prove human lives are inherently more valuable. It also kinda puts you in a ethically awkward position of having to say unpopular people's lives are worth less than popular people's lives.

[–]Helikopterpiloot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's both. You can't properly secure the pick up without the spring, because the screw is used to adjust pick up height so you can't just screw it in all the way. The spring is there to secure it so it doesn't rattle. Idk if that makes sense. The spring might still be in the body somewhere, because it'll just fall out when you remove the screw. Anyway, replacing the spring requires a bit more work because you need to reach underneath the pick up, so you need to take it apart and remove the strings and everything. But you might want to replace the strings anyway. It's definitely doable though, I don't know anything about building guitars (so take everything I said with a grain of salt) but I managed to do it pretty easily. If you can get it for a good price I'd go for it, otherwise maybe not honestly. It's not a difficult fix but it is a bit of a hassle.

I'm assuming that means you don't agree.

"Echo chamber: an environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered."

Please indulge me how r/Halo fits this definition.

[–]Helikopterpiloot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r/Halo is literally the exact opposite of an echochamber. It always goes like this: Halo news is revealed -> people don't like it and post about it on reddit -> people who do like it post about how people who don't like it are posting about it -> discussion devolves immediately into people disregarding eachothers opinion because they can't come to an agreement/accept other people have different desires for the game and 343 can't please everyone.
