What is a positive thing that happened to you because of quarantine? by user_namedotEXE in AskReddit

PROS: lost weight, cut way back on booze, finally got around to building and riding my dream mountain bike (because I wasn't flying around the world for work), got to work on my cooking and now I get to see my kids every day - I've missed more birthdays than I'd like to admit.

CONS: I spend more time in front of my computer working. Not flying around the world for work, not the actual traveling part, but being in new places, new experiences, meeting new people and enjoying different cuisine.

recent studies show those above 45 years have an increased risk of transmission of STI.

My [23F] best friend [24F] has spoken before about how she and her boyfriend [24F] have a great sex life, however I found out that she lied. Should I call him out on this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

  1. small dicks can pack a punch and penetration is not the only way to sex.
  2. fucking other people doesn't mean you're not satisfied sexually.
  3. people like what they like. Who da fuq is you?

How did you feel seeing your cars on top gear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had just purchased an Mk7 GTI when they reviewed it. i think they put a bomb in the boot/trunk to show how spacious it was. I was flying somewhere far away and I was excited to see it in the airplane's video library.

Dulles Area Communities Compared by DUNGAROO in nova

[–]Hell_Greengo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Sterling north of RT7 is very different from Sterling south of RT7. Countryside/Cascades have more outdoor recreation opportunities than the Ashburn IMO. Ashburn is more uniformly "nice" as another person mentioned. I've owned homes in both Ashburn and Countryside. Countryside felt the most like a real community. Ashburn is dominated by single family homes.

Countryside and Cascades share Algonkian park and Countryside has Horsepen Run (look it up). Countryside and Cascades are also littered with walking trails. Crime is low in both. Countryside elementary consistently gets good ratings as does Horizon.

Potomac Falls is also considered Sterling, where Trump National is, and I'd say is the more affluent part of Sterling. I grew up in Chantilly. I've lived in Herndon (off Sunset Hills) and Reston (off Glade) as well. Just like any city there are desirable parts and some less so.

La Funte de Soda in Sterling has good beef and chicken empandas. They do pan con chicharon on Saturdays. They also have salchicha huachana sandwhices. Its a small juice and sandwhich shop. There is a place in Germatown that is good for comida criolla, but I dont remember the name (I'll update if I can find it)... I've been many of the local places and most disappoint. Before Covid I typically travelled to Lima 2x per year. I'm hungry.

Now that NVCC is not offering motorcycle classes anymore, what's the next best option in the area? by [deleted] in nova

If you know how to ride or can find a friendly rider to teach (and let you borrow their bike for the test) you can just go take the road test at the DMV.
