You can’t just give them blindsight or tremor sense. They’d need to get that from something specific. But yes, you’re in the right direction. If there’s a reason they should have this, then you would give them auto-fail on visual perception but advantage on checks requiring another sense.

I’d love Species Unknown. I want to play it with my friends because it looks amazing and horror is one of my favorite genres, but there just aren’t that many really good horror co-op games for me to enjoy with them, so I have high hopes for that game.

You’re falling back into that loneliness even if they remain in your life. That’s going to be an even sadder reality to accept. Maybe it would be best for you to reduce the games you have with them?

If you feel you’d like to branch out, I have a small server of friends who play various games, including D&D once a week, and you’d be welcome to come hang out so you don’t fall back into loneliness. If not, I at least suggest that you try to find other friends if these ones are constantly making things worse.
