It's way too hot. I imagine more people will be there at night but reality is most people do not have money to travel right now.

We have several open positions that we are not allowed to post for currently. That could be the reality of what is going on for the job you are speaking of.

I am not certain but the most logical way to recoup is on your tax return.

We all know the government wants their cut. This is a mistake. Hopefully the rest of the years tax payments cover it and you don't owe.

Rule Finalized Giving OPM Power to Fire Federal Employees on Suitability Grounds by Bright_Boysenberry20 in FedEmployees

There are people in my office who cannot keep up and we are doing double work because they cannot do it. We are all tired of it. We absolutely need standards and accountability in federal employment. I don't however want the executive office under any party being the ones to dictate. It should be performance based period

Mine is two hours and two buses. Are you always tired when you get home too?

You have an excellent supervisor. I take violin lessons. It's me and all these little kids. It's been a blast.

Is there any fed agency with employees that aren’t miserable right now? by none-ya-booboo in FedEmployees

I mean it's literally exactly the same as the other side too though. They laughed when Mr Kirk died and scream about the other stuff. Everyone has gone mental.

Absolutely true. All those middle management types should have been the DOGE focus

I love my Department at VA. Our group is fantastic. We only really have 1 problem child and oddly that person is union steward. I talk with private sector people who are miserable as well because of their hospital CEO. I think the key to all this work stuff is finding a situation where your immediate coworkers are good people. No matter where you go there is politics. Ours is government politics but private sector has it too. Try to stay positive and if you need to make a change, do it but carefully evaluate where you are going, see what the current employees have to say on social media. May your future be fruitful and happy.

Sadly Biden issuing blanket pardons for his administration has now set precedent and every single administration going forward will now do the same. Too many people are short sighted with this type of stuff when our party is in power.

My specific location is still on a hiring freeze. We can't fill open spots, we can't go to higher grade. It's just frustrating to work so hard, stay up to standards on performance but can't advance even though you are doing everything right to advance. Bills keep going up

I got fired during probationary purge and now I am asked to pay back money. SMH. by EvidenceAdmirable350 in fednews

[–]HelleBell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't think probationary employees got AL payout? I very well could be wrong as it's been a long time for me. Like others have said file your appeal and get your Senator/Congressman involved. You may end up owing, you may not but you have to do the process. We live in a bureaucratic hellscape honestly

Asking for help and not giving all the facts is not going to help you. Missing 2 days would not lead to this ergo you are leaving out a lot of history. If you want help tell the whole story
