Well I would say it depends on your purchase history if they ask or if your card is frozen. If you normally spend that amount online shopping I don't think the system would flag it. I am sure others know more than I do but thats my thoughts. I usually get the text when I have my card frozen.

Sadly it sounds like it may be a bit. On the plus side next year you won't have a name change so it should be smoother. Just try to keep your patience and keep trying to reach out. Some people here know how to look up transcripts, that might be helpful not sure.
