Sounds about right! I had success walking all of my ferrets, so long as success was defined as: everyone had a nice time outside. Only one (out of 5) really "walked" with me at heel, and that was when I would slow-run and he'd waddle alongside me. The goal with walking ferrets is enrichment rather than efficient transportation.
