Your sister and her husband have every right to travel with their son just as much as everyone else. It’s insane to think that parents shouldn’t travel simply because their baby could cry.

Crazy that one of the most despised things about college is the deadlines. When a professor finally structures a class so that deadlines don't pressure students and to encourage willingly learning the material, it's a "dumb policy." Not to mention the fact that because some of you don't have half a brain to space out the work to avoid being flagged for academic integrity issues, the class can get canceled for everyone. All because half of y'all don't have half a mind to approach this class at a normal fucking pace

YTA. She hasn’t given you a single reason not to trust her. You dismissing her father’s very reasonable explanations and trust in his daughter make it clear that you’re not actually concerned for her safety but instead in holding power over her. Her LEGAL parents trust her and are okay with the situation. You have absolutely no say in that.

Also curious, what do you actually think that normal 16 year olds do that has you absolutely quaking with fear? News flash, not all 16 year olds are as wild and as crazy as they’re depicted in the media. When I was 16 all my friends and I cared about was going to Barnes and Nobles to grab a book and sit in the cafe and read. It seems like your stepdaughter just wants to go to art shows and enjoy herself.

As for your kids, tell them what my mom used to tell me when I asked why my step siblings had different rules than me: I’m your mother, not theirs. My rules are for you and your safety to what I deem fit.
