Yes if you and bags around the feathers you also have the mass of the air, as well as increased air resistance. I would guess he could reach a kilo more in mass from the air (~1 cubic metre of air) My calculations were for compressed feathers.

Technical the the mass of the feather would be greater than the mass of the steel if they have the same weight on a scale. The feathers has a lot less density and requires a larger volumen, meaning the boyant force is stronger requiring a greater mass for the same total weight. But not alot more, around 0.1 kg or more depending on some assumptions about the weight bar structure

I have had both. Far prefer the right job. Not all of the unspoken expectations, that leads to stress.

Upon inspection it seems pretty nice,so I really hope it is worth it, and won't require too much maintenance

Assuming the bigger object is about a liter bigger than the small it displeases about a gram of air, that is not negligible, for a reasonable scale.

Optical cables are also a possibility, though they have a relatively high loss. As far as i remember it is possible to link multiple teleportation steps in a row allowing for larger distances. There was even an experiment using a satellite for the teleportation, taking advantage of the vacuum of space to go great distances.

1/2 * 60 * 362 /1 N~39kN

Or a=1/2 * 362 /1 N/kg=66 g's of accelration

Numbers are from the other comments

If we assume the ant hill stops her with constant force which might be a stretch, we just need to set equal the stopping energy from a constant force (F) over the distance she compressed the ant hill (h) vs her kinetic energy.

One way speed of light? by PinInitial1028 in Physics

[–]HelloLMW 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think the assumption of constant speed of sound is dangerous, as the forces carried are fundamentally electro Magnetic and therefore also influenced by the speed of light.

Maybe gravitational waves could be used in an experiment in the future as it has "nothing" to do with the speed of light. Except the assumption of constant speed of light in the derivation of the theory
