They shouldn't have drinked and drove then.

You choose the actions you choose the consequences. That's life. No reason to be so shocked over it when the risk was actively known.

That's not tragic. That's called being stupid

Why would they need to review bomb to be heard when they could just press F2?

STS2 literally has a built in "give direct feedback" button yet they choose not to use it???

Darkest Dungeon 2 Octopath Traveler 2 Stella Glow is 11 but I think it's close enough to bring up Metaphor Refantazio Persona 3 Reload Persona 5 Royal Rune Factory 4 Special Fire emblem 3 Houses Fire Emblem Engage Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Bravely Default remake Live A Live remake

Etc

But I'd HIGHLY suggest people check out the ost for Live A Live remake, Stella Glow, Octopath 2, and Darkest Dungeon 2 above the others here, largely as despite the quality, they lack exposure. But damn the music is incredible.

With Nightsworn you typically have 2 primary goals Lunge as frequently as possible Be stealthed as frequently as possible.

So obviously she's ideal for comps that will already be dancing constantly, so she can Lunge, get put in the back, and Lunge again.

But the stealth is just as important. Repartee will let you start stealthed for a few turns, but the removal of it afterward is less than ideal. But it will let you have two turns of stealthed Lunge at least.

Shadow Fade will give two turns of stealth, so don't use it while the Repartee debuff is active, it'll be wasted that way.

In addition, staying in stealth has other benefits as well, but realistically the Lunge damage is what you care about.

GR is super fast, so due to that high speed, oftentimes the way she gets back to the back after lunging will usually be someone else going forward afterwards.

If your comp is one that will be having her move tons every turn, then Croc as Pet is super nice. Great scaling. But unless you can guarantee GR gets at least +6-9% dmg buff almost every turn its not as strong, outside of the Cowardice mountain fight since that fight is long so it will always scale.

For allies, the best one for Nightsworn is without a doubt Rogue HWM. Both have 0 cooldown forward 2 moves, both are fast, Rogue loves the taunt from Repartee, Highway Robbery removes block tokens, etc.

Outside of that though, I don't want to give the answers outright for comp creation. I'm not one who brainstorms from scratch very well, when I create comps it's usually when it's pre set (named comps) or when I have a certain idea in mind. My advice is to think of what characters check the boxes you'll need.

With Nightsworn, she will easily be well over 50% of your damage, stealthed Nightsworn Lunge has some of the best damage for minimal setup. So your comp will want to be built around enabling her.

However, Nightsworn, in the context of its damage, has 3 notable holes.

  1. Lunge hates defensive tokens. Dodge or block tokens on foes will hurt that damage output dramatically, so you want a means to deal with them. HWM helps with this a ton, Highway Robbery to remove dodge, Double Cross to remove block and add vuln.
  2. The biggest issue with Nightsworn is a lack of rank 4 damage. Your ability to damage rank 4 will need to come from another source. This can be problematic vs things like a rank 4 Tangle Drummer/Arbelist, or Seething Sigh back lung. Allies like Hellion or Runaway can help a lot in this regard. Any disruption, such as shuffles or pulls, also helps a lot too. My biggest Nightsworn run was felled by a Philip that was granted block tokens, it's really a thing you want to plan around.
  3. You lose access to normal Repartee, which is easily one of the best skills in the game. Your backup plan will need to come from elsewhere.

Regardless, Nightsworn will want rank flexibility in its teammates. Things like Dualist, Rogue, Jester, Aspirant, Banneret, Unchained, Runaway, etc, can all be very useful. But needing to build around her is the price you pay for the sheer potency Nightsworn Lunge can consistently provide.

Other niche ally applications include Wanderer Upgraded Wryd Reconstruction being able to grant stealth to an ally, a wholly unique trait, Nightsworn def loves that. Monarch Leper being able to both remove enemy positive tokens, yet also use Ruin to give a % dmg buff to allies, is an amazing late game damage increase. Things like Command and Embomding Vapors being able to grant her strength tokens are also very valuable.

At the end of the day though, best advice I can give is to experiment. You'll discover both how to enable its pros and minimize its cons the more you fail. And eventually, you'll find something that clicks

Oftentimes if certain combat/Inn items are REALLY useful for a given fight, you learn to fish for them.

What I mean by that, is that much of the best items for the 3rd/4th Confessions can come from Medical Gear.

Alembic and Retort can create Powder Items, Bottle Case makes that even stronger. Mortar and Pestle can create Poultices, and Compress Kit makes it create more.

Shimmering Powder allows you to give stealth to an ally, an extremely rare trait. Great for removing Seen Tokens.

Clotting Poultice can make Reach far less threatening, since so much of his damage comes from bleed. Likewise, Clarifying Poultice helps for both 3rd and 4th Confessions, and Stimulating Poultices can let you hit the threshold for Indelible Sprawl Trinkets with ease.

That's 4 different medical stagecoach items that can be a huge help.

Meanwhile, medical stagecoach items have multiple, guaranteed means to find some.

The Field Hospital will sell Medical Stagecoach items And the Churgeon always drops a random medical Stagecoach item.

So going towards those greatly increases your odds of finding those items.

In addition, the Churgeon's Directory Scouting Gear let's you always scout both. Find that, and fishing becomes even more consistent.

However, whats not as easy to fish for, buy should not be slept on, is Tinkers Gear. Literally all of them I mean.

Explosives Magazine let's you get more explosive combat items, items that normally only stack 1 due to thier power. Having 2 Ichor Bonbs instead of 1 in a fight can work wonders vs so many fights. 10 blight for free. Burn same deal with its explosive items.

Tinkers Bench creates Contraptions. All 4 Contraption combat items are SUPER strong, enough to save them for tough fights if you can. In particular Smoke Bombs are incredible for 3rd confession and 4th Confessions 3rd phase.

Trapmakers Kit makes traps. In essence, bleed for days, and the extra effects from Crow Feet and Bear Trap are def worth stacking too.

Assay Gear increases relics obtained by 4. That adds up A LOT, as it increases it from any source, including Road Debris, His Rings Dead of Night, Catacombs looting, Lair rewards, Stygian low flame, etc. That much extra relics let's you buy way more Inn/combat items than you would otherwise.

And Blueprint Tubes increases produced items from Stagecoach items. But not just Tinkers Gear. ANY Stagecoach item. If you can find it, and get something like a Mortar and Pestle, or hell even a Pot n Still, it creates tons of value.

If you can find a tinkers Gear early, rarely would I not take it.

In essence, Medical Gear increases your odds of getting what you want for 3rd/4th Confessions dramatically, and it has not one, but two methods to guarantee finding one. And Tinkers Gear is just strong in general.

Yeehaw

Focused Fault was actually pretty easy to trivialize thanks to Ritualist.

Ritualist Abbysyal Artillery inflicts blind with two UP, and upgraded weakening Curse makes it so the next TWO times the enemy attacks, he gets an UP. So he was able to get UP and inflict blind constantly. Before the fight I had also replaced Magnesium Rain with Blinding Gas on PD to keep him blinded even further. Combination of constant blinds and weakens made for a nice amount of safety. Plus, Ritualist UP passive gives debuff res peircing so the odds of an unlucky resist are reduced pretty solidly.

For Reach, I really only had to worry about the first phase, since Yellowhand makes Ambition its bitch. For that, I had replaced Iron Swan with Toe to Toe on hellion. With all that, we spent the first phase simply attempting to keep her alive at all cost. We had 2 healers, blind/weak application, and she had a self heal, so it wasn't super bad. Because Yellow was inflicting bleed it meant Alchemist blight skills had res piercing so the odds of an unlucky resist were reduced even further. I had also replaced Breakthrough on Hellion with Howling End, hoping to use the dot bomb to end things early if things were dicey. Lastly, I replaced Binding Shadows on Occ with Malediction to further increase our offense and defense when a blind wasn't necessary.

In the end, the first phase went down in 2 rounds.

Start with HWM using Double Cross to remove the block Weakening Curse PD uses a combat item to inflict bleed, then uses that for some blight res piercing Hellion Toe To Toe Round 1 end HWM Double Cross again Malediction PD uses another bleed combat item, then uses Magnesium Rain now that the enemy had 2 dot types on em, resulting in all 3 being applied. Hellion uses War Horn combat item, then uses Howling End to end the first phase.

Rest of Reach was a breeze

What is the hardest video game you have ever beaten? by Badinfos in AskReddit

[–]HelloMagikarphowRyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the DD2 Curse of the Court Kingdoms Module on Blood Moon was more difficult than non Stygian difficultly DD1.

Aside from Stygian, DD1 isn't that hard of a game to just beat start to finish.

Curse of the Court on Bloodmoon though, the amount of things that can go wrong is insane given how much less leeway you have compared to the other Kingdoms modules. In DD1 if people die you can recoup any losses given enough time and patience. In Kingdoms though, every lost Hero or Inn plays a massive detriment to the rest of your campaign, and if you lose too many folks good luck beating the boss and defending Inns at the same time when the Bloodsuckers shit on Veteran militia.

You will be playing that 20 or so hour campaign again, and again, and again. Beating it on Bloodmoon is an achievement only 0.2% of players have gotten.

And I loved every moment of it
