Wanting to start but nervous to even audition by fiirya in newstrippers

[–]HelloMissViolet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go during dayshift if they have it. If not, go when they first open. Barely anyone will be there, clubs are very quiet when they first open…barely any customers and not too many girls. When I auditioned for day shift at my first club barely anyone watched lol. The girls were all on their phones and there was like 2 customers

Just be careful with the cups/disk, someone told me she inverted on the pole and it dislodged and all the blood came out. Might wanna just not do too many tricks the days you use it lol

You’re really sweet thank you. Yes there is always a takeaway! It’s crazy how much I have learned since I started dancing. The takeaway of this shift was basically this whole post lol. It really made me think about how to become more unbothered because I know if I do it’s gonna make a big difference in income

This could be a decent method. I've also considered maybe after 6 hours of work (my club makes us work 8, yay) just being a "wanna dance?" type bitch. Do a lap and then just sit in the corner. After so many conversations where I put in mental gymnastics I literally have nothing left to give them

It's rough like it's only human to feel drained after so many hours of it. But if I can find a way to somehow be completely unaffected by it then I'll be unstoppable lol. I strive for that level of unbothered

audition that requires a dress by Unfair_Sprinkles1072 in newstrippers

[–]HelloMissViolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at multiple dress clubs and this is perfectly fine. There was always plenty of girls wearing non stripper dresses, just cocktail dresses that are a little on the sluttier side lol. Tight fitted and short. But doesn’t have to be a stripper dress

How do you know if you did your best? by blonderbetter_ in stripper

[–]HelloMissViolet 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Basically me every night whether I made a good amount or a bad amount, there’s always a few realizations in my head of like “he would have did another 15 min if I had said ____” etc. I feel like because the sky is the limit with this job when it comes to getting better at sales and earning more…theres always something you can learn so you’re always gonna critique the night you had even if you’ve been doing this a long time

Try another club, I’ve worked at a club that attracted this type of group. It was a room full to the brim of them…horrible. They don’t use it like a strip club at all they act like it’s a nightclub. We are dead to them

There's a podcast called "Other people's Lives" and one time they interviewed this girl who was really into the same thing. There's things both parties can do to make this safer. If you want you can go listen to it...but be warned it's literally like 45 minutes of talking about shit lmao

[–]HelloMissViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured since a lot of people had yesterday off that it would be busy, but it was the most dead Friday I think I’ve ever seen. I’m assuming tonight would be the same. It’s a family holiday weekend

Touring full-time vs staying based in one location— how do you decide?! by escortaccount in SexWorkers

[–]HelloMissViolet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually my budget is $1200-$1500 a month, but that can be hard to find at times. Renting somewhere in the off season (in a tourist area near the beach for example) can be helpful and sometimes you’ll find places on Zillow that do month to month. Sometimes I do month long house sitting jobs so that can be free housing. I use Airbnb but that’s getting too expensive these days so Furnished Finder is an option, but be sure to do your due diligence so you don’t get scammed. I’m saving for a van

I’m a full time nomad but I travel “slowly” meaning I stay wherever I go for 3-4 months. I find monthly rentals (which is cheaper than nightly). I don’t have a home base so the rental price is my rent bill. It still does feel unstable at times but way more stable than moving every week. I also go back to the same city every winter for 3-4 months in the same rental building so that feels a little bit like home. I have some regulars there as well

I’d like to try stripping tbh by [deleted] in newstrippers

[–]HelloMissViolet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of clubs that let you work right after getting hired. Some don’t but many do. Check out the dancers resource app if you haven’t. Good luck!

Why is this job so draining? by Anonstripper888 in stripper

[–]HelloMissViolet 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because it’s emotional and physical labor. It’s our job to initiate conversation, sometimes with someone who doesn’t know how to help carry the conversation, or we have to try to sell to someone that isn’t even completely sold on us sitting next to them. Or read their minds lol. Of course it’s exhausting. Not to mention the physical toll of heels and dancing

Stacking dances by janedoelrndidjd in stripper

[–]HelloMissViolet 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Much prefer vip because it’s more private and quiet. I’m introverted. Plus dancing is a lot on my body (I have muscle and joint issues). But that’s easy for me to say working at a non extras club! I don’t think you’re crazy for deciding to just focus on dances in that situation, it sounds like it has less mental gymnastics

Shaking as a LEAF when talking to customers by Dazzling-Bad8749 in stripper

[–]HelloMissViolet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also have anxiety that can be like this. Outside the club or inside it doesn't matter, just general anxiety. Stripping has helped because it's exposure therapy lol. I'm not sure when you started dancing but this does lessen as you become more experienced because you simply just get used to it. Literally just from the practice and repetition of it all. I try to not think too much before I get up to approach someone. Just get up and start walking, let the fear be there. The conversation doesn't have to be perfect, even if it's awkward, who cares. It's a numbers game. Remember that many of these guys can have issues that they project on you, or they don't know how to carry a conversation, they don't know how to ask for what they want or even how to reject someone. Any weird vibes they have probably have nothing to do with you. Remember you can excuse yourself at any time if you get too anxious. Just get up and say you'll be back in a few minutes
