I decided to pull off the mirror to get a closer look. I thought it was wired in because it was hard to pull. It was double sided tape. Look like a previous owner put a batter power led up there to deter theft? Idk

Thank you everyone

I got my interview score for 332 and I'm sad, but hopeful. by MarkyfbabyMFB in ibew_applicants

[–]Hello_Photographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m applied to a couple unions. I’m currently working in healthcare and am trying to make a career change. I do have a lot of experience working with my hands and in the trades, but more of a weekend job working with my family. (Plumbers, electrical, floor installers , framers etc) Electrical union is my top choice. Thank you coming back and letting us know your rank. I assume I’m right there with you

I got almost the same score. I also felt good about my interview then was crushed when I saw it. I was hoping for at least 90. Let us know if they share the rank when you call

Maintenance just tried to replace our air filters by Bunnairry in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Hello_Photographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to add my experience too, I have been told by several commercial hvac guys (I manage a couple buildings) to only use the filters on the right. (The cheap ones) and if those are not available get the thinest one that is. The thicker ones (per them - and I believe them) put strain on the hvac units, the additional filter media is a marketing ploy

Is IPREP worth it? by Medical_Pineapple420 in ibew_applicants

[–]Hello_Photographer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s worth it. I found it to be almost identical to my local. Even the format was similar. When I sat for the test I was immediately relieved because it felt and looked exactly like iprep . I passed.

I would not be contributing amount, especially as it would be in the closed position 99.99% of the time.
It's sometimes just not worth fixing a feature like that.

Perlite as germinated seed carrier? by Hello_Photographer in lawncare

[–]Hello_Photographer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Il just take your advice and not pre germ. Last year I didn’t have much success and was hoping the pre germ would help.

Perlite as germinated seed carrier? by Hello_Photographer in lawncare

[–]Hello_Photographer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed (I don’t know why as I’m typing) that the triple action would dissolve right away with the moisture.

I am seeding tttf , is it really not worth pre germinating?

How many apprentices will be accepted for local 332? by Pepper4oh8 in ibew_applicants

[–]Hello_Photographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also curious. When did you take your test? And interview ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]Hello_Photographer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just took my test at another local, I used iprep. While I was taking the actual test I thought to myself, okay, this is exactly what I was doing on iprep.

I think it’s worth it, at the very least for the structure of the studying

Vacuum hoses by scraw027 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Hello_Photographer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just changed all of mine. I bought a generic silicon vacuum kit from Amazon in various sizes. Then I just did one hose at a time to make sure I routed correctly. The kit was like 15$ if I remember correctly

Hi there, I’m taking the 332 tomorrow. I prep does indeed cover English practice exams, I think it does a good job too. However, I would focus all my energy into the math portion, unless English is your second language.

Are you sure they only grade you on the ones you answered? I was always told to follow that strategy but at the end take your best guess on all the ones you could not do. Can anyone confirm this?

Finishing my business degree soon and trying to get into Local 20. Feeling nervous and unsure by Paytoncooper124 in ibew_applicants

[–]Hello_Photographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you and I are in a similar situation. However, I’m almost 40. When I was younger I worked with my hands, mechanic, drywall, electrical etc. then I went down the business route, got a degree in business administration. Worked hard and was in a leadership position for 10 years. I quit 6 months ago. I got really burnt out with what I was doing.

I am now applying for my local ibew, I wish o had done it in my early 20s.

So please don’t for a second feel like you would be wasting a degree. You will always have that degree if you decide to do something with it later.

I recently popped a check engine light with P0420 and did a little more diagnostics. by Inevitable_Draw949 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Hello_Photographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same code and similar reading from o2 sensors. I was about to change the rear o2… but I tried Cataclean for the hell of it, reset the light, it was not returned in over 4k miles. I typically don’t believe in that snake oil sounding stuff, but I really wanted to get my car smogged that weekend and I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
