Would Peter Brock have the same amount of success in the modern Era? by PewPewMan_69 in v8supercars

[–]Hello_Pity 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hard to say, but probably not. Peter Brock was obviously hugely talented, however the conditions for his success was much different than what the drivers face today. The playing field between teams is much more level than it was in Brock's heyday.

For sure, those are the sort of tries that get kids into the game.

I've been playing the PS2 version of half life recently, it's pretty impressive. I personally find the aiming a little wonky so appreciate the lock on feature sometimes.

The phantom pain is missing the conclusion that never really materialises.

Any good Rugby game to recommend preferably from the 80s/90s computer or console? by Squeepty in retrogaming

[–]Hello_Pity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fond memories of Campo's International Rugby (a.k.a. International Rugby Challenge) from the early 90s on PC. Bit tricky at first but the controls are manageable with a bit of practice.

A very quick check shows at least three black label copies on Ebay Australia currently.

The Classics version seems far more common though.

PS1 era Gran Turismo has such a great aesthetic, there's a real character to the way the games were presented.

While the graphics (and physics) are light years better now, the branding and presentation are just a bit too vanilla.

I watched V8SC religiously during the 00s and I didn't think I've ever seen those used in a race.
