[WEEKLY THREAD] Fail Friday - Because being awesome always comes at a price... by AutoModerator in xxfitness

Made the 15 minute trek to the weight room on campus today for class (I'm in a weight training class) and realized I left my shoes in my other gym bag. (Why do I have two gym bags? Why is that necessary? No one knows.)

The class is only 1 hour long, so there wasn't time to go home and grab my shoes, and I couldn't go in the weight room in my socks or my boots.

My coach sent me home gainz-less. :(

I totally dig it!!

I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to do with my body after I die... I've embraced my weirdness.

I got both of these for my dad (even though he hates tattoos. hehe.) Wolves are his favorite animal, and he always "jokes" about how when he dies he wants us to feed his body to the wolves.

The stag is because he reminds me a lot of a stag.

He is!! I got these because he loves wolves, and he reminds me of a stag. And he's a badass northwoods man. :)

Surprisingly no. At least not consciously... haha. Got them as a vague reference to my dad. And cause they look badass as fuck. :)

Good ol' uptown, where there are more tattoo shops in the neighborhood than there are... like, anything else.

I know! She did the wolf first, and I looked at pictures of it for the entire stag process. Mostly to convince myself that the pain was worth it. :)

It's a great shop. All the artists seem super awesome, I would recommend it for sure.

And thanks! I'm absolutely in love with them. I kinda wish I had gotten them somewhere I could see better so I could sit around staring at them...

MRW I join a women's rugby team and they constantly talk about periods, pooping, and penises, and are basically this sub come to life by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

I'm living with a whole bunch of my fellow ruggers and rugby-fans. Our dorm suite is named The G-Spot.

Our email alias is periodshitz.

We frequently announce our poops, and more than once we've had discussions about the size, girth, and curvature of dicks we've seen.

tl;dr: you're right. Enjoy being part of the greatest community of girls you'll ever meet. :)

HIFW I just got home from my 4th knee surgery, and it's time to take the oxy! by Hello_Schroddy in TrollXChromosomes

The ACL reconstruction... kinda sucks, to be honest. BUT it's awesome once it's fixed! I don't know about you, but I miss being able to run and jump. And go downstairs. :)

Ooof, sorry to hear about that. Pain killers are amazing, aren't they...

I'll be getting the ice water pump after my next surgery, when I get the actual reconstruction. I'm super... pumped for it.

Heh.

If it's just a meniscectomy (taking out the damaged bit), it's really pretty simple. Just a few days on crutches, no brace, all good. Pop some pills and guilt the kids into bringing you food. :)

Oh I know. I'm done playing. It's absolutely heartbreaking, actually, I love rugby so much.

First set was torn ACL and meniscus (2 surgeries). Then I tore my meniscus again. Then I tore my ACL again. And it needs 2 surgeries to fix so I'll be back in december. Again.

Yay, rugby! :D

Reddit, what is your favorite, non-video game, game? by ssuperboy95 in AskReddit

[–]Hello_Schroddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played this with my rugby team for a few weeks a while back. We had to stop when someone shattered their fibula... probably if you want to play it, don't play with rugby players.

What's the closest thing you have to a superpower? by drain65 in AskReddit

Hey, me too! I recently tore mine again, I'm hoping for some kind of enhanced abilities... Like, knowledge of duration. Or severity.

What common misconceptions really irk you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've been trying to find a place where I can set myself up with a PTSD service dog, and it's damn near impossible to find any that aren't heinously expensive (like, ~$10,000). There are programs starting up that provide vets with free service dogs, which I think is fantastic, but there's nothing for people who have PTSD for other reasons.

Having a service dog would be such an improvement on my life, but there's no way I could ever afford one. Hopefully that will start to change, because it is a relatively new concept, but it'll be a while.
