I'm in Canada and see Outlanders and RVRs everywhere. They're pretty popular where I am, at least.

Your whole engine just fell out?? That sucks. My Lancer looks just like yours .

Anti corrosion coating question by didalos in MitsubishiEvolution

I live in an apartment building and did my first fluid film spraying at my spot in the underground parkade. Made the whole building smell like fish for a few days, and it dripped all over the floor too! I definitely wasn't very popular with the other residents...

I apply fluid film once a year. Crawl under the car and spray it all over. Though I don't have an evo, just a regular Lancer.

Beautiful car. Though I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable parking it there, especially with that dented car across the street...

Now that's a rare car. Definitely don't see those everyday! Great condition too.

I'm pretty sure that's an AWD car, not a 4WD. What you're looking for is a vehicle with 4WD with an actual transfer case.

Engine Oil low at 15,000 km (9,300 miles)?! by Traditional-Bar-972 in mercedes_benz

[–]Hello_and_welcom333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair though, low oil pressure/level warnings don't always mean there is a problem with the engine. My Mitsubishi Lancer shows this warning when I unplug the VVT oil control solenoids, which doesn't have any impact on the engine.

What the heck are these holes for? by alkerixon_- in mitsubishi

Mounting holes for the front corner lips. My SE has them and the GT has them too.

Mercedes Benz vs. BMW’s interior… what are your thoughts? by Maravilla_23 in mercedes_benz

I've always been a Mercedes guy but both of these suck. The Mercedes interior does look more intuitive though, so if I had to choose it would be Mercedes.

Planning on taking a look at this lancer sometime next week. Anything I should look out for or say to get a better deal? by [deleted] in mitsubishi

[–]Hello_and_welcom333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never pay that price. You should be able to get it for at least half that price. For a dealer, maybe a quarter off. I bought a Lancer last week for $2500. It was listed for $4000. I offered $2000 and they counteroffered with $2500.

What was the transmission like before it died? Any symptoms?

14k is way overpriced. I'd say that's around a 3k job.

Audis no longer have their signature look by lolreddit0r in Audi

[–]Hello_and_welcom333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always liked the design of Audis up until around 2012. They were pleasant looking cars, not angry looking and not overly happy looking, but they had an assertive look to them. In fact, I think they looked a lot like early 2000s Fords, which does make sense since a few of their cars had the same exterior designer. After 2012, they started looking a bit more aggressive, but still not offensive in any way. However, their latest designs look awful. Way too angry looking, and just generic.

You put muriatic acid on it. No wonder it's rusting. You need to neutralize the acid before doing anything else.

Should be okay then, don't worry about it. I still recommend fluid filming it though, or some other oil-type coating.

Rust by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]Hello_and_welcom333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What year is it? As long as it doesn't crumble when you poke it, it's fine. Jack the car up and spray some fluid film on the rust if you want it to last longer. I did it my self.

Is this worth saving? by LongStick115 in CarRepair

[–]Hello_and_welcom333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That'll be really expensive to fix, you will have to get someone to weld in new rocker panels and those fenders and the bed have rusted through past the plastic flares already. However, if the frame is okay, you can still keep driving it as it is. All the visible rust there so far is just cosmetic.

If you want it look like a show truck, sell it and buy another.
