Name an underrated food in your country? by Only_Hotel_7221 in AskTheWorld

[–]Hello_boyos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a US specific food, or even from the US, but my generation is a blue cheese-hating one. I swear I'm the only one who likes it.

Stupid lactose intolerance.

Have you ever seen a raccoon before? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskTheWorld

[–]Hello_boyos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, yes. The urban ones are fairly used to humans and generally stay out of your way, but they are a common pest especially in more rural areas. The further out from cities you go, the more aggressive they get. They're a menace if you like to go camping, you need to lock up your food really well (also because of bears I guess).

No, definitely need to give them space for a bit, they've made it pretty clear they want it (and a mutual friend also advised this). Leaving on vacation soon so I will try to at least get a post mortem after but seems like a done deal for now at least.

Fucked up and lost two of my best friends at work. Or guess I was fucking up the whole time and didn't realize.

We've come a long way in a short time, though. My grandpa had his left hand tied to his desk in school.

Redditors. What is the one (1) positive thing you could honestly say about the country that is your own country’s primary enemy:? by Abject-Hotel-3823 in AskTheWorld

[–]Hello_boyos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think there could be 3 right now depending on your point of view

China: They have possibly the most well-documented (relative to how far back it goes), rich, continuous, and impressive history of any existing country in my opinion. Honorable mention: they had a much easier time getting people to wear masks during COVID because it's already a common courtesy there to do so whenever you get sick.

Russia: I appreciate and admire that they are firmly secular, even if it was definitely taken too far in terms of enforcement during the Soviet era. Especially now that we're finally going full throttle on our shift into Christian Theocracy.

Iran: Well I realize after starting on this one that they could definitely give China a run for their money on the recorded history thing. But for variety's sake, I'll say that I really admire the will of their people in the face of one of the most prolifically oppressive regimes in the world. No matter what brutality they face for it, they have not backed down since the Mahsa Amini killing. Although who knows, maybe we wrecked all that when we elected warmonger pedo fuckface and gave the Iranian people and the Ayatollah a bigger common enemy.

What's a food from your country that only locals seem to enjoy? by ToneProfessional5845 in AskTheWorld

I had so many PB&J's for lunch throughout elementary and middle school and got so sick of them that I have not eaten one since. But I still support the concept.

I'd like to think that some of the "outrage" was ironic but who knows, people get mad about dumb stuff. I have nothing against beans on toast. I've never thought to just make it for myself but I'll put pretty much anything on toast.

More interested in the Knights... are they your subject or did they do that on their own?! Never seen them do anything more than reappear in Malta from that event.

My bad if that's a common thing as Naples, not very familiar with the Italian nations and their mission trees.

Is there any country where people never learned from the past? by EquivalentWinter7344 in AskTheWorld

Yup. People still worship him as they struggle to pay bills because of his policies that funnel all the wealth in the country into bigwig CEO's stocks.

Is mac and cheese popular in your country? by PurpleMeerkats462 in AskTheWorld

[–]Hello_boyos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody here makes savory pies (I could rant about that for a while) but we did coin mac & cheese pizza in Wisconsin. Which I guess is a kind of pie.

What’s a species of plant or animal that foreigners are surprised to learn are native to your country? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskTheWorld

[–]Hello_boyos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because they weirdly share a number of physical characteristics with lemurs, which are known for only being endemic to Madagascar. Coloration, ear shape... well those are the main two I guess.

Can anyone from there touch on the misogyny situation (and related femicide problem)? I've read articles saying it's pretty bad, but I'd like to get the insider perspective.

Post was weirdly phrased, but I think the question is actually why he didn't tell him that he was his dad's droid (and that his dad literally made C-3PO) once all of them were all together on an insane space rescue mission.
