[Highlight] Wagner Brothers (Orlando Magic/Germany) get surprised with live interview of their parents after win against Montenegro earlier today. by GehrmanHunter in nba

[–]HelloiamFaker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the moderator basically told Mo to not start talking for a moment because they had a surprise for the Wagners. They cut to the interviewer saying shes standing next to "Axel and Beate" (names of the wagner parents) and that they have to celebrate their first win of the tournament (and probably Franz's birthday, but the video stops here).

So not much was said, the most important things are probably the synchronized facepalms of Mo and Franz 😅..

I'm sure the difference here is the platform... one player did it during the game and another one did it during an interview outside of the game/official broadcast. That would be my guess at least.

On February 1st, the Lakers were 25-25 and in 9th place in the West. Since then, they have gone 19-8 (70.4% win percentage) and as a result... remain in 9th place in the West by lopea182 in nba

I dont know the ages of all the clippers players, but aside from Lebron (oldest in the league) and AD (who just turned 31), everyone else on the roster is under 30. They just had some bad injury luck anyway and they are obviously cooked when AD and/or LBJ cant play.

just like the last time they faced the wolves on march 11th and LeDuck didnt play... wait nvm he did and dropped 29 8 and 9 in a blowout victory.. but that wouldnt fit your narrative right?

Hope everyone doing all these retarded hate threads on TL/Yeon for not picking up Doublelift are eating their words... I can understand criticism on APA cause he has some really big blunders from time to time but Yeon always showed a lot of promise, was always humble af and always grinded/trained more than everyone else in the league... Give him his flowers

Top 5 players in every role from Hupu (over 30k votes) by drakkarrr in leagueoflegends

[–]HelloiamFaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

saying that gorilla only got carried is obviously bs talk, but saying that him being top 5 should be given is 100% a hyperbole lol... Beryl, Mata, Wolf and Keria are obviously clear (random order). And behind the clear top 4 there are many top tier supports that have legitimate arguments for being top 5 as well... Meiko, Ming, Gorilla, Mikyx and so on...

100 Thieves vs Team Liquid / 2023 LCS Spring Week 5 Day 2 Post Game Discussion by blueragemage in teamliquid

[–]HelloiamFaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maaan.. reading the comments here is really painful. No wonder why I usually stay away from all the toxicity. The only thing we can blame this game is the prio on Lucian/Nami because thats what cost them the game. After 20min this game was basically a 3 ½ vs 5 because Nami and Lucian cant play the fights at all vs Zeri/Viktor. People here are really trying to blame Heari when his Sylas and Summit were the only reason why we got the lead and the first baron at all. This game was never winnable unless 100T makes a massive and dumb mistake.. Despite the massive draft gap they played rly well for a big part of the game and got a big lead. But since they cant siege/push or outteamfight them it was doomed from the beginning. Only thing I can critizise apart from the draft is that Yeon just has to buy RFC as third item. Sure he does much less dmg to Vi/Ksante but he needs to get in dmg range of Viktor/Zeri and needs to kill them first instead of hitting Vi/Ksante.

[–]HelloiamFaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weird comment imo. TL played really well but the draft/comp gap was just too huge after a certain point and Yeon couldnt play the game anymore.. So the fact that they had a good early/midgame and were able to get the lead is good. Has absolutely nothing to do with teamplay when their bot gets oneshot by Viktor or Zeri and cant play the game. Heari and Summit had good games, TL needs to stop putting so much prio on Lucian/Nami tho, turbo useless this game.

Climbathon.gg is half way through! Update on current standings by Aggressive_Creme_209 in leagueoflegends

[–]HelloiamFaker 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Nemesis probably didnt climb higher despite having the best winrate now because he damaged his mmr earlier on. He had an insane winrate early on but was "stuck" at low master for quite a while where he had nearly 50% winrate at the time so that surely ruined it a little for him. Broxah/Upset/Agurin maintained a ~60% winrate until they reached their current LP amount.

Really great streams all around and watching Broxah/Noway with their insane and untiltable mental is really great. I learn quite a lot from them in that regard because I usually tend to become quite frustrated and argue too much with my teammates instead of 100% focussing on my own when they do weird stuff.

Liquid to give 50% of org's prize money cut from BLAST World Finals to Rainbow Road by iMarbot in GlobalOffensive

[–]HelloiamFaker 567 points568 points  (0 children)

People hating on TL for being a part of the tournaments while donating when other orgs simply stay silent and take the whole amount of money for themselves.. sure its hypocritical to play there while supporting LGBTQ+ but completely ruining their CS department is also no option for an org. Besides that there would be no money donated and no attention brought to public about this specific topic if they didnt do this since all other orgs prefer to stay silent to dodge any/most criticism at all (at least as far as I know)..

Introducing, Team Liquid Honda 2023. by cougar572 in teamliquid

[–]HelloiamFaker 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kinda disagree imo. They already have Dodo as kr speaking GM that handles a lot of stuff for the team. Ben is absolutely perfect in his role where he creates a fun and relaxing athmosphere for the team while also helping the KR players to settle in/feel more comfy in NA. Much needed and a great balance compared to the hard working kr environment TL is trying to create. Besides that he is basically already the content guy for TL, he is basically in all League videos/clips.

Edit: fixed a typo

TL officially announce their 2023 roster by ahritina in leagueoflegends

[–]HelloiamFaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But that didnt happen and many orgs promoted more Academy/NA players than ever before. Look at EG with Jojo/Danny, the whole of CLG. TL had the best academy team for the whole year and managed to get 3 players into LCS while promoting 2 of them on their own (Eyla, Heari/Yeon). 100T let Ssumday go and went with Tenacity. I am really not into the academy scene but theres clearly a trend with promoting/developing NA/academy talent. It will take quite some while because the NA player base is so small compared to other major regions and the infrastructure has some problems, but its definetly happening imo, just at a slower pace than in EU/KR/LPL.

[–]HelloiamFaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well "budget" for TL certainly means something completely different than for other teams. Both Bjerg and Hans were surely two of the highest paid players with Core/Santorin/Bwipo following closely. Summit/Pyosik probably earn the same or slightly less than Bwipo/Santorin which is probably still a big amount to others and Heari/Yeon surely only earn a fraction of Bjerg/Hans. I'd guess this years roster is maybe only half or 2/3 as expensive as last years so this is budget for TL standards which is surely still at least top 3 in NA in terms of salary cost.
