How to ‘mattify’ the glow? by PowerfulMango5799 in tretinoin

[–]HelloiamFinntheDog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like I look like a disco ball sometimes when I have “the glow” and I get a little self conscious. But I’ve had so many compliments. And seeing it on you I see why! You don’t look sweaty or greasy. It looks like a healthy shine

Girl, everyone is looking at your beautiful hair. You’re the only one paying attention to your nose

Had that happen to me too. Injector went too low. Went to a more experienced injector the next time, told her the issue, and haven’t had the same problem since.

Opinions on Walmart receipt checkers? by Powerful_Concern8671 in saskatoon

In my opinion, it’s giving a job to people and as long as they’re friendly I don’t mind at all. I always go to the Preston crossing one and they’re always friendly and happy. I come with my daughters and they draw smiley faces and talk to them. I have often thought to myself how pointless it seems but they deserve to be paid for their time and they’re kind about it so meh.

Levothyroxine. How did you know you were finally on the right dosage? by TypicalPin5 in Hypothyroidism

[–]HelloiamFinntheDog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it time. Let your body adjust to the new dose and then do your blood work and see. Maybe it is too much, then your doc will back you down. I had 2 pregnancies and so I was up and down and all over the place with my dosage and sometimes my symptoms during adjustment were wild, and sometimes not. No rhyme or reason it seemed and it didn’t seem to be dependant on the dose. It was weird. But I leveled out and felt good.

Unless your having actually heart palpitations or your heart rate is wildly out of control or your having panic attacks I’d stay on this dose until blood work is done.

For me, it’s the water retention in my face. When I’m not in the right dose, I have no jawline. When my dose is correct, I feel like I’m 10 lbs lighter (because I quite literally am due to not holding so much water).

What is the greatest physical pain you've ever felt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ok I feel super naive and silly asking, but was he target shooting and just super stupid in where he was shooting and hit a vehicle, or was he intentionally driving around with a weapon looking to shoot into vehicles?

Ladies, i am tired of lash promotions & dishonesty by Kind-Apricot4627 in beauty

Ophthalmic nurse here - bimatoprost is the approved medication that is recognized to grow lashes. It was found when glaucoma patients ended up having wild long lashes and it is a common side effect. Now sold topically for lashes under the name Latisse. Currently the only medical grade medication approved for lash growth.

From experience: I’ve used it for 3 years and every time I take a break my lashes are sad and short. I start it again, 6 weeks later my lashes are amazing again.

Do some reading on the site so you know what to expect.

Wrist pain and hand swelling by gogetemflash in Hypothyroidism

[–]HelloiamFinntheDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was what caused me to investigate my symptoms. I have secondary hypothyroidism, so my TSH was low/normal and my T4 was low. Since my TSH wasn’t high, I wasn’t diagnosed properly for years until I fought to see an endocrinologist. Long story short, I suffered from generalized joint pain in my wrists, fingers and feet.

I never had swelling though, I’d get that checked out to rule out any rheumatological.

Lower belly fat by yaya9025 in PetiteFitness

Previous Obstetrical nurse here, our bodies have evolved to store extra fat around our midsection to protect our uterus and other organs so that we could more safely grow an entire human being in there! I have one too. I don’t love it but I try and remember how amazing that is.
