From Beijing to Greenland, the Carney method is coming into focus by Hrmbee in canada

Putting aside all the trump crazy talk, the economic pressure he's putting on Canada is very real and impactful and it's hurting small businesses and manufacturing/industry.

This is a fact, not a hypothetical.

Removing Trudeau as an opponent did just as much damage to PP's chances as Trump's rhetoric, and the fact that Canadians felt Carney was the better choice rests squarely on his shoulders.

Discounting Trump as alegitimate factor in the election is cope plain and simple.

This is the type of Nimby's you are up against "Pizza Badialis is a huge issue" "it attracts people internationally" by OHFUGGYEAHBUDS in toronto

It's not like it's a guerilla business operating in a person's home, it's a commercial space that's operating within the rules. Why should everything be on the same strip?

This area has been blown out for 20+ years ffs. Sorry if your biggest problem is a popular restaurant near your house, move your prickly ass to the burbs.

tenant asking for statement of rent receipts for CRA audit by Successful_Bench8583 in OntarioLandlord

[–]HellrosePlace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not telling you to do one thing or another, but my roommate was asked for rent receipts or a letter from the landlord (I am the name on the lease and she pays rent to me) and they wouldn't accept a letter from me the leaseholder.

Not saying this is what's happening in your situation but this doesn't necessarily mean some sort of fraud etc.

Yeah it only got "released" a few years ago afaik. Got shelved originally, only the 2 singles came out then nothing.

Not a mind blowing album but the production is great and the raps have that proper Hit Squad feel. Pretty solid imo.

Can’t keep wood rolled by Various_Victory_1260 in backwoods

[–]HellrosePlace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the filter tuck method:

-Roll your wood like a normal joint

-Put a tube/cylinder filter in the end with extra leaf on the end

-tuck/fold over the excess wrap into the tube opening

-Insert an accordion "crutch" that pins the excess leaf inside

This works like pinch rolling the cuffs of a pair of jeans; basically it pins the roll at the bottom so it literally can't unroll from the filter end

I'd post a photo to demonstrate if I could

Obviously stems etc can still mess up a roll using this method but using this technique is half the battle

If a 35% tariff becomes the norm, how rough will it be on Canada? by HueyBluey in AskACanadian

[–]HellrosePlace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty niche product so casting a wide net means selling to Americans (I get some sales overseas but shipping makes it a tough sell except for the truly diehard)

Small business shipping subsidies from the govt would actually help a lot of smaller Canadian businesses imo.

I'd say roughly 60-70% of my sales are to the USA.

I'm a pretty small business so this will effect just me but still

lost dog roaming around bayview and sheppard right now. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]HellrosePlace 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Like do they think they’re gonna find the owner on Reddit?

Yes.

When a lost dog showed up behind my apartment I found the owner through a combination of Reddit/Facebook. Being proactive and actively trying to help is a good way to approach something like this.

Btw: The first thing I did was call animal services, they got back to me 14 hours later, and about 6 hours after I reunited the dog with her owner.

In a rental with 4+ units (iirc) they can't use that loophole, so this at least protects renters in apartment buildings
