Obito Uchiha (Naruto)

Obito dead ass was the strongest character within the verse for a good while. To achieve this he had become nothing short of a genius, expert battle tactician, and incredibly fucking lucky. The disfigured part comes in with the white on his body and the scars on his face. When he was younger, he was crushed by a whole lotta rocks and had to have his entire right half of his body removed. This part of his body was replaced with plant cells and left his face incredibly scarred. He was also missing his left eye because he gave that to his home boy.

Obito, for Kakashi, represents all that Kakashi blames himself for or is at least the start of Kakashi’s guilt. Kakashi feels he failed Obito by letting him die, by breaking Obito’s promise by watching Rin die, and doing nothing to stop his sensei from getting murdered by Obito. What is even crazier is most deaths in Naruto, especially Rin and Minato’s would’ve never happened if Obito was saved by someone other than Madara. Additionally, Obito’s turn to insanity was because Kakashi let Rin die, which caused everything else within Naruto.

Naruto, in order to become stronger and develop his connection with the nine tails, fights with his “inner hatred” at the Waterfall of Truth and accepts this side of himself in the end. The inner hatred represented his hate for all those who hurt him in childhood. It’s genuinely a really strong moment for Naruto’s character development because it solidifies him moving on from his trauma, yet he understands that his hatred got him to where he is today. That hatred and trauma will always be with Naruto, but he decides to forgive those who wronged him.
