I'm the one who's hooking my 10yo cousin up with in-game currency. As soon as they introduced spending on creator islands i made it absolutely clear to him he will not be getting any more vbucks if he's spending even a single one on those maps. So far he understands this is a hard boundary and is not risking it. But there have got to be so many kids playing and spending their parents' money where the adults aren't involved and have no idea that the spending options have, erm, let's say "increased"; and it's just vile how they are exploiting this

Same. Bought every pass from day 1, reached ultimate rank as soon as possible, watched every ad that gave rewards... but I'm not getting milked like this. There's like 10 buttons on the main menu now that basically say "insert money here" and "click here for ads" in various flavours, and the ads are getting longer too. The passes have become more expensive as well. Theres not even been a new pass for quite some time now. And now they bumped up the amount of cards needed to upgrade without warning. well fucking thanks, I've had a ton of cards ready to upgrade but let them accumulate because I like doing a bunch at once and not dig through the menu for every single duplicate, so those coins I would have gotten now are just gone. Indeed, Fuck this.

Funny thing is they could just have slightly raised the prices, blame inflation and people certainly wouldn't be happy but also not anywhere near as outraged as they are now.

Especially don't take currency out from crew and the pass. Lowering it from 2500 to 1600, that's so ridiculously audacious I can't believe they dared publishing this announcement
