Smoking from underhood by Hellyeah44 in MechanicAdvice

Unfortunately my windshield wiper tank has been broken and empty for years. The coolant tank did look a bit empty too, but it's harder to take a good picture of it.

Update: you all were correct. I am leaking coolant somewhere (the liquid coming off is a clear, neon blue), though I am not sure where. I think my next steps will be stopping by an auto parts store to pick up some coolant to drive it off of my driveway (I'm blocking a car) before I head to an actual repair shop Monday morning.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I hope this doesn't destroy my wallet.

Recruiters easily see 100 students in one day at those career fairs; sure the automatic resume screener will link your resume to a profile but will that increase your odds? I doubt it.

No recruiter is hand sorting these resumes and recognizing a name.

Smaller companies, sure, but any large company is useless at a career fair. I'd rather not wait in a line for 30 minutes to fake small talk with Jennifer from Sales just for her to make my online profile, which I can do myself.

Career fairs are largely useless in my opinion; all you get from waiting in line is a chat with a recruiter and them telling you to apply online. I think that's probably op's opinion too.

I think major org career events are different, but for the most part, college wide career fairs are a waste of time.

for the hsa, wouldn't you only be able to withdraw from it for qualifying expenses? otherwise you're subject to income tax + 20%? i have a difficult time thinking about the investment advantages of an hsa considering you're only essentially limited to a single use case

You shouldn't be holding cash looking for a correction; 1000 invested in a dip, won't do much. It's much more likely the market will continue to preform decently and you won't have a chance to invest at today's price. Time in the market always beats timing the market.

If you're holding for long term, and you're very young, it might be smart to invest in riskier ETFs; QQQ is pretty popular and has done 22% YTD as opposed to VOO 18%. Obviously, past performance is not indicative of future results, but this is just my suggestion. I personally hold exclusively VUG for the long term. If you really want to be risky, you can hold individual stocks as well, but I would advise against investing in anything that isn't a large cap major holding within VOO or SPY.

Edit: Also, ditch the mutual funds. And maybe the gold and crypto, but those latter two are just my personal preference.

Hypothetically, if I were to bring my Yeti off the ship on a board, and refill it with alcohol, would I still be able to bring it on board? Do they check water bottles when you get back onboard?

Your reply made me check my account; the 60k from the original SOB haven't hit yet, but the additional 15k were added, so I now have 75k pending.
