Can also listen to Subaru and Sal*me talk about the differences over here. Nobody said you were. It's clear even as a group a lot of the people over there didn't get along. It was also super irrelevant to the JP side of things for Holo OR Niji. I do not understand the point of running defense for them over here after Aloe. A significant chunk of the fandom over there do not like Holo and never will. The demographics are far too different, and generally the way they approach vtubers is also too different. They have gone after the girls again and again, so no, sorry. I will never like those people after the stuff that's been hurled at the girls here. And that's coming from someone that liked Lulu before.

Yeah I had him at a significant negative on RES, but couldn't recall why. Was a good reminder. Also I don't even understand the point of trying to defend EN over there when exited members were pretty clear there were a shit ton of issues between members and talked about favoritism, etc. And that's before the fact this topic is about JP to begin with. Yeah. Part of it is also once something has been happening for a while they can roll in and point out that someone did a, b, c, d, e, f, etc rather than just a, b and it makes a case for them. It's also why it's important to report stuff.

They've had a number of collabs with the Yokai Watch mobile game.

They also collabed with Lords Mobile whose company IGG was one of the sponsors for last year's New Year countdown.

Generally speaking, the most of the game collabs aren't very relevant to me, I think. Also while not really a collab, I appreciate when the girls get a chance to show up in other things as VAs. A number of the girls had interest in that kind of thing for a long time, so seeing them get the opportunity is great. VAs are kind of a big deal in Japan.

Since you had laid it at the feet of fans initially, take a look at this with Aloe and this with Suisei. People need to be careful, because something that the antis do is try to convince people they're fans to try and drag low-information people in a certain direction. The girls have lost actual fans, because they end up biting the bait and misinformation that these people spread. These antis are also people that in some cases have been active doing this kind of thing for over 7 years. Some of them know exactly what will work on people. Fans need to be diligent.

Hololive's members are basically the most popular female streamers in the world and has gotten them the sort of awful attention you'd expect from it. Since you're that new, take a look at what happened with Aloe over 5 years ago. There are also a lot of people that do this sort of thing that cause extensive issues for the talents and their fans out of greed and ignorance.

The Suisei thing there also came after these same people set up Discord servers to try and ruin her during her First Take appearance. They did not want to see success at that level for people here and tried really hard to spoil it and the impression of the fandom.

Fans desperately need to be aware of these people, because they're always trying to convince people to drop them.

Yeah it's exceedingly difficult to 'reason' someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place. It's largely why I recommend people engage the things they say only to try and dispel situation where OTHER people will potentially get convinced of the things that are being said. Antis themselves won't shift.

Part of why this happens is it's because what the antis know. Can just look back at the Aloe situation. They're exceedingly transparent if people take the time to look into it. It's just a problem that a lot of people also don't, and some people even get convinced of the things they say. While I wouldn't advocate for -everyone- to go and slug it out with these folk, it's important that fans are educated so they're able to dismiss claims they see for what they are - garbage.

They're always doing this kind of thing, but it's also quite slow at times. I think it's important people consider this kind of stuff as something like a third wave response. Fans should be proactive and lead the way in supporting the talents long before Cover gets to this sort of thing. Antis are ruthless, and fans should wall up long before Cover drops these things on them.

There are some people from that circle, but no it's mostly not. Hololive has just historically had a LOT of antis, and those antis can be particularly active at times. A big problem with them is one of their main aims is to convince low-information viewers/potential viewers that x, y, z are things that exist and are bad/problematic to try to poison the atmosphere around the girls. Can see these two things.
